    Got the bike serviced today.

Just a general checkup and oil change. I also opted to install the fork gaiter kit.
They took around 2. 5hrs to complete.

During the test drive the engine check light was on so I got it back to the SA who checked it to find the pressure wash to be the culprit behind the malfunction the light went off as soon as the engine warmed up a bit.

    The bill came to RS.2580/-

      Hello Guys,

Has anyone in this group done Touring on their Interceptor with pillion? Can you share your experience regarding it? Is it comfortable for pillion?

      Thanks.

I don't own the bike so obviously I didn't tour but I was seeing Sriman Kotaru Vlogs the Interceptor was keeping up with the bikes like Triumph Tiger without any issues, but I have test ridden twice as of now once with pillion and as a pillion. I'm just 5'7" for me it was okayish as a pillion but not comfortable for long rides, it needs modification like little bit higher seat and heat shield for the exhuast which many people have started adding from the other RE models.
Also you can comfortably cruise in 120 kmph speeds without stressing the engine anything beyond that I don't recommend on the Indian highways.
        Hope these inputs help.
        Regards,
        Mohan

Hey Febjos, unfortunately, we don't have an official review of the Interceptor here in xBhp, though we have pre-launch threads here. We have a detailed Ownership Thread here and I'd strongly recommend you to review the T-Bhp thread for the official Interceptor review. Welcome to the boards and keep your photos and observations posted once you get hold your machine.

            Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

            THE END

                Hi all,

Finally got my bike delivered on 16/03/2019. Thanks to TEKNIK Motors Indiranagar (Bangalore). They were at their best in updating me about delivery of my bike and all other process went on very smooth. I wanted the Sump Guard (Accessory) to be fitted, which was not available in stock. However, they redirected me to their another showroom (HSR Layout) and got it fixed in no time.

Now, I am enjoying my new bike's beat. Soon, I shall provide updates on key insights. However, until now have not faced any major issues (except its weird footrest which hurt my leg)

                Thanks everyone!

                Regards

How did you remove the rear grab-handle? Does it have a nut/bolt arrangement? I heard it is welded to the frame?

Ok so I got my machine (orange crush) nearly a month back. Strange thing happened when I took the delivery. I had to return to the dealer within 10 minutes post delivery. Exhaust started making noises and the bike kept turning off. When i reached the dealer, I could see that the exhaust was burnt( it changed it colour) and I could see smoke coming out of it. I was given a choice of taking the delivery the same bike after repair, or I could take the other one of different colour (Silver Spectre). I settled with the silver one.
First service is already done. It charged approx Rs 2600 the major of which was engine oil as the machine demands 3.1 litre of 10W50 grade oil. They changed the oil filter as well. After service the sound of the machine changed (in a negative way). The service guy adjusted the tappets in a bad way and they started making strange tik tik noise. I got them readjusted from another workshop. I am not sure if the sound is the same sweet one which was before service (though I am being told by my friends that it is the same).
Looking forward for a nice long trip. Will keep you all posted about future developments.

                      Hi all,

I am planning to upgrade to LED Headlights for my Interceptor 650. I am from Bangalore. Can someone suggest some good shops for aftermarket accessories in Bangalore...

By the way, I am new to the RE family...

                      Thanks in advance.

Well bro your ownership experience till now doesn't sound great. Could you please let us know the showroom and service centre name and location so that others can be more careful.

First of all congrats on the acquisition of one of the most beautiful machines around today. You should thank your stars on getting your problem solved really quickly. And that too in a very positive way.
Pardon my ignorance but once a vehicle is handed over to the customer wouldn't it be already registered on your name..? How the dealer is going to handle this..

Yes, this is the general practice. The registration process is initiated in the name of the customer whom vehicle is delivered. Plus, before the vehicle goes out of the showroom, its insurance is done in the name of customer. How these issues were managed by dealer? Quite strange.

Came across this thoughtfully modded Baker express by T-bhp member (schitre05) I though I'd share. The stock seat although looks good is nothing to write about. Anyone below 5.8 would have to reach for the handlebars. It's really baffling to realize how this ergo combination went unnoticed by anyone during all the time spent testing.

Hello i am new here as i am not an owner yet and i do know this is an owners thread but i wanted to ask if anyone has this problem. i had booked my interceptor 650 on december 8 2018 and was booked by the dealer in mark three black but i wanted white(baker express) so i did request the dealer to change it they agreed to change the color and they told me it will be here by end of Feb 2019. So i waited and at the end of Feb still not heard a single word from the dealer i went back to the dealership to find out it has been dealyed till march end so as i asked about my bike and i found out it was still is the mark three black and requested again that they change it to white again and they agreed again. This is where i start to get a bit annoyed. So on March 9th thinking my bike is almost here i payed the down payment of 1lakh and gave my personal details for registration. After two weeks i kept calling the dealership no one picked up and i was able to get a text through asking about my bike they replied that they will know about it on march 22. So i wait and call again on March 22 no one picks up this time its switched off. I have tried sending a message to support but haven't heard back yet. Today is March 25 i went into the dealership one more time and found out they still have no idea where my bike is and i kindly asked for the number for the manufacture. I went home and called but soon found out that the bike is dealyed yet again but this time till May 15-21 which is quite absurd and i have been fuming at this all day but worse than that they told me that the bike was still in mark three black. This is the last straw and as you guys as owners can you relate or give me some advice regarding what to do?
i do appreciate any advice you may have to give.
(i did ask the manufacture yet again to change the color to baker express)
