Thanks for the information on the tyres, I will keep that in mind.

Here is another query, for users who had the bike for long, did you experience the left hand grip to be more buzzy than the right? Mine is present across the rpm range and is so bad that it has caused numbness on my left hand should I be driving for a hour and a half.

Speaking to the mechanics they stated as the left cylinder is the leading at the firing sequence, the vibrations could be caused by the engine, considering that my bike has crossed only 987 kms as of this post, unless they open the engine, everything else is speculation.

nice pics bro, except the cow dung , how does it looks with out rear mud guard, i removed once but put it back kind of felt too much exposed. Once you get single seat do tell how it is is, i tried once at the showroom, its height is may be half inch small compared to the standard, i felt my feet much plated on ground but never tried on rood. Thinking to buy it since the cowl wont come as standard thinking to reduce height of current seat that would be cheap , but not decided.

Even i noticed the cow dung after parking the bike but i was too lazy to move again [emoji28]. Well it looks really good after removing the mudguard and the saari guard but i put it back yesterday as i didn't wanted to smear my pillion with muck, I haven't tested riding in rain without the mudguard.
I am still waiting for the single seat and the cowl to arrive, they have ordered it, but now i am thinking of changing my plan as after purchasing the bike the taxes increased on the same day and i had to shell out 13285 ₹ more for the rto registration, completely ruined my planning regarding the accessories. But i will get it in due time as it looks super cool, i haven't seen it in person or used it so can't tell you about the comfort level
          Peace

Has anyone put nighteye/novsight LED headlamps on their interceptor? Does it void the warranty? Am planning to get the 25w ones from either of them as I am a sucker for white headlights. Will it be ok with the reflector pattern?

Thanks mate nice video, expecting more such informative videos, what about a Tyre change?

                  ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

                  Corrosion protection and smooth operation

Is WD40 is a good choice to prevent corrosion from bolts and joints like center stand, side stand and grab rail joints etc?. Is it OK to apply chain lube since it can be used like a spray find it easy to use. What about the normal grease?. Here most of rickshaw owners apply a thick coat of grease on under body and bolts and it stays there like that for almost an year they don't generally wash and clean those points very often, and it stays petty intact, is this applicable to bikes.

I have applied WD40 on many place like the small gap of exhaust end ( water stays there always) and grab rail joint, suspension joints etc it removes corrosion but not sure whether it last very long. so i am thinking to apply grease or some of highly viscous type so that i don't have clean very often. The bike gets dirty on very ride especially exhaust ,wheels and swing arm but it is very difficult to clean very often.

                  what do you guys suggest?

Thanks for appreciation , will try to make tyre change one whenever i get the chance.

For rust wd40 is the best thing , grease would attract more dust stick with wd40 or try any dedicated anti rust spry.

                      1) The weight- careful while parking and doing 180 degree turns take your time and make sure both the feet is on the ground

                      2) Gloves- please wear gloves always (proper riding gears are always welcome), if the bike fall, well usually people say try not to grab when bullets fall, but i had total 3 falls, two time didn't touch ground and one time hit the road and bend handle bar and brake peddle. got bruise on finger joints. it happens so fast usually end up with grabbing the bake.

3)Handling- Please don't carry your wife and kid until you complete couple of 100 km, by the time you you'll be familiar with the bike. I took almost a month , only after almost 400 km or so i think i got the hang.

4)Heat- Always wear high top boots or sneaker, right now i am on bed rest i got my ankle burned. I wore a canvas shoe because it was raining i didn't want to damage my leather boot and paid the price

5)Pillion - While riding with my brother he was sitting the gap between the grab rail and seat. Felt very heavy in the traffic , pushing the bike by leg with pillion really difficult.

                      6) seat and rear foot peg- Due to the foot peg height and seat design the contact area with the seat is very low this cause pillion move back and forth during acceleration and braking , they may loose balance, cause the grab rail does not provide any back support ( Zana International may have solution l)

                      7) Braking- This bike has really good braking system use it wisely. Since we are used to left and right hand brake on scooter, there is higher a chance to apply the same here during panic situation. As i mention the bike tumbled thrice and got my leg burn all this happened because of that, i applied left and right hand lever, and caused the rear wheel slightly skid.

And there is a nice video regarding running in period by stuart fillingham on you tube watch it before your first ride. Take your time to familiar with bike enjoy rest of your life good luck
Thank you for the detailed response bro. Was stuck in other issues and couldn’t respond.

Btw, got the bike delivered three weeks back and done 450 km on odo, planning to give for first service. No complaints as of now. Anything else important to consider or change?

Ordered back rest from Zana. Went for compact engine guard by mistake. Have to change to a bigger one from RE or Zana. Which is better among them? Any ideas?

Re is better, looks nice, buy large engine guard and install sump guard also. watch out for engine block corrosion, how is the exhaust pipe joints? found new bike comes with good finish . WD40, metal polish(Meguiar's Motorcycle All Metal Polish-ordered via amazon not received yet), may come handy. post some pics

Continental GT owners who wants to do basic chain cleaning/lubing at home can use a car jack to lift the rear tyre up. In gt you can find provision given for the installation of centre stand under the bike just behind the engine. They are pretty solid and can be used to lift the bike using a jack.
