Bike arrived on 31st july. Took delivery on 8th. The color looks really awesome, specially the white stripes running down the tank.
Had 6kms on the odo. Would pen the complete buying experience tomorrow. Trying to finish the 500 Kms by Sunday and get her serviced on Monday.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
My gearshifts were a little harsh for a while now and was in the pursuit of figuring out how to make it better. I think I have found what I was doing wrong. Hope this helps someone out there.
Since I had purchased my bike, I had never peered through the oil check window and was taking it for granted that it will be fine. After my first service (Which includes an oil change), I noticed that the scratchy gear changes had not gone. For the first time when I checked my oil, it appeared to be close to the low side. I didn't have much of an issue with heating as I used to ride in mild traffic. When I took it to the service the folks told me to top-up the oil and they filled it up to the high mark.
This is when I noticed that my upshifts had become quite smooth but my downshifts were getting stuck sometimes. It felt like the lever was stuck and I had to let the clutch go once and back to make the shift. This was especially troublesome when I was coming from 6th gear back to the 1st for riding over a hump. When I used the bike for a couple more weeks the level dropped to around 75%. At this point the shifts were the smoothest. As it is a wet-multiplate clutch, it uses the same engine oil to lubricate the cogs. So too little and it will get scratchy during shifts and if u drown it in oil it will be stiffer to change. Mind you that these observations are made using the RE engine oil and I have not used any 3rd party oil like motul, silkolene, liquimoly, etc
So in short-
* Keep the engine oil level close to 75% for the smoothest shifts
* Let the engine idle for 1-2 mins before setting off. This gives the oil a chance to move around the engine case (RE guys are dead serious about this!)
* Adjust the clutch lever with 3-4mm free play at the pivot point with 3 turn threads visible in the gap between the adjuster
Being an amateur biker this is my observation. Maybe the more seasoned bikers can also shed some more light on this.Last edited by Sudhanshu K; 08-10-2019, 11:39 AM.

Well the seat height gets reduced by approx half inch, it's stiffer than the stock seat so little bit uncomfortable for city use, but on long highway rides it'll be helpful. Moreover the sides of the seat which are in contact with the inner thighs are sharp, as in instead of being curved they are little sharp, so when your feet are down on a stop signal they dig in a little bit, while on the move no issue. The seat is narrower as well, less support for the butt.Originally posted by WDM2 View PostHi all.

But it is a looker, looks great on the bike, completes the cafe racer look.
In the image i am applying the same pressure on both seats, you can see the difference in the stiffness.Peace

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Try some good mild rubbing compound like 3m and use good polish again like 3m liquid or formula 1 (sheeba also work).Originally posted by wreKD View PostHello everyone, need suggestions for tank protection for Baker express INT 650 in Delhi or around it

If it is on the surface it will go away.
And after that get it laminated there are many local options in karolbag try Yash graphics he is famous or contact 3m saloon near you.
