No that shouldn't happen. I have taken delivery in September ganesh chaturthi but bike was of August 2019 and thats the manufacturing month in RC

One thing I did notice though on my bike. The wobble occurs only during speeds between 80-95 km/h. Post 100 it goes away oddly. Was this how it was for you as well?

Has anyone here considered wiring the headlamp to switch on when the engine switches on instead of the ignition? Like how it used to happen on the Pulsars (Not sure if it's the same now).

Thought I might as well check here before delving into it.

Yes it was specific to some speed from 70-80 kmph to 90 kmph or something but I did not try leaving my hand post 100 kmph. This was sure some defect with the front wheel or fork or stem and mine luckily got sorted after front wheel assembly change. Not sure if it would recur anytime sooner ;-) I suggest you take it to a RE company service center and they should help you solve this issue.

Got a call from RE asking to visit their service center for the latest ECU update. When inquired they told it was some performance related upgrade, not sure what. Did it today, took some 15-20 mins. Could not feel anything obvious except for some free acceleration (don't know if its just a mind game

).

Mine is a ravishing red INT650 and I have not done any modifications yet except for removing the saree guard and the extra mudguards. I would like to change the exhausts and air filter just for some change in the exhaust note and a bit extra power. I have reviewed on all the available options such as Red Rooster, AEW, etc but only liked the Motowings Trident. Motowings also manufacture performance air filter for INT650 and both the exhaust and air filter are properly dyno tested for the performance increase. Their exhaust note is not loud but has the grunt needed. They are local manufacturers based in Coimbatore. The only thing that is keeping me off from buying and installing one is the "design" factor. I prefer a short exhaust that would end midway and not looking huge with some minimal design like the cross cut pipes or something. Fellow riders please suggest if you know any of such kind that can be purchased here in India. Awaiting your suggestions. Thank you.

RE service informed me to bring my bike for fixing some magnetic ring in the fuel tank for filtering the metal scraps in the fuel. This is a company recall for some specific batch of 650 twins and sadly mine is one among them. Please check for the same in your local. Thank you.

Metal scraps in the fuel! That's one tall statement to make, but nonetheless, after the replacement, do post us as to what was replaced, if you can, get any insights from them.

Hello All,

This may just be a stupid question. But i am known for asking those...so here goes. In the Interceptor, as good the braking is, engine braking is not very effective and also down-shiftting gear(s) also does not reduce the speed a great deal. Do you all find this to be true?? Reason I am asking is in all the previous bikes i have owned and the Interceptor, there is a stark difference. So, if this even a partially correct observations or is it something with the way I ride or may be something worth getting checked at the Service center?

Please let me know your thoughts

Slipper Clutch at work mate. There will be a variation in Engine Braking with and without Slipper Clutch.

Thanks. But just so i understand correctly, Interceptor has the slipper clutch and the other motorcycles I have ridden does not?

What are your other bikes? Not all Indian bikes comes equipped with a slipper clutch. Slipper clutch helps prevent wheel lock due to rapid engine braking which can and will cause rear wheel to lock up momentarily, in non slipper clutch bikes. It's a safety feature to make sure the wheels are always in motion instead of locking up. Hope it helps.

Haha no way I'm letting it go post 100 either. I just loosen up my grip a bit to see if it flutters.

There are RE company service centers? How do I go about finding these?

No slipper clutches in that lot. The new Ninja 300 has got a slipper clutch now.
