Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Did you install the OEM sump guard accessory Then most likely they didn't tighten it properly after the service.Originally posted by theguitarfreak View PostDid my first service. A new noise on the engine has creeped up. Its like a slow moving noise of old ceiling fans. There on idle too. These East India Agro service guys are really incompetent.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
It is indeed the sump guard making noise while engine is running. You figured it out from one message, and these service guys could not hear it in person.Originally posted by jazzysaravana View PostDid you install the OEM sump guard accessory Then most likely they didn't tighten it properly after the service.
I tried tightening it with the allen key but it seems to be tight enough. But when i hold the sump guard firmly with the hand, rhe noise goes away. You can only ride better tomorrow if you ride safe today.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Sump Guard here is the most useless accessory on par with the flimsy fly screen. This sump guard causing more noise and making cleaning a tough task, also removing the oil filter is a task with sump. Sump is only useful if the riders wants to do serious off roading each and every day he/she rides . GC is good enough for all the uses and belly won't be scraping any where infact the front of the bend pipes would scrape (personally tested while pavement climbing [emoji1787]).Originally posted by theguitarfreak View PostIt is indeed the sump guard making noise while engine is running. If u are worried about oil filter then do know it is strong enough to withstand the knocks from flying stones etc, for a fact u need a drill to make holes in it or something strong with a hammer.
Fly screen , well it just looks good otherwise no use can't deflect any wind. And flimsy enough that u can easily break it.

I wish i knew this before spending money on it. 🙄Originally posted by Ijs View PostSump Guard here is the most useless accessory on par with the flimsy fly screen. As for the windscreen, yes the tall RE windshield is absolutely useless on the highway. Planning to upgrade soon. You can only ride better tomorrow if you ride safe today.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Guys what is your opinion on removing the exhausts, I was hoping it would shed some weight and many in other countries do so, making it look like an incomplete underbelly kindof exhaust look but I am fine with that. But exhaust note loudness and Cops are my worries? can I find some kind of attachment to muffle the noise [emoji28]

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Ear drums shattering sound and definitely attracts cops. There is one guy here who is riding with it since day one (2018) he is one of the first to get the bike. It is a real pain to ride behind him. Exhaust pops or crackle is sweet though but ultra loud.Originally posted by abhi1991 View PostGuys what is your opinion on removing the exhausts, I was hoping it would shed some weight and many in other countries do so, making it look like an incomplete underbelly kindof exhaust look but I am fine with that. Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Hello All,
Something strange happened today while riding my Interceptor. While riding, the bike suddenly went off. luckily I was not at high speed, pulled the clutch immediately and parked it next to the road. Switched off the ignition key and again turned it back. Everything was normal.
I believe the ignition unit to be the problem as I have seen some times the ignition is not switched on in spite of inserting and turning the key properly. Sometimes I have to hold the key and turn it slightly anticlockwise for the ignition to get on
Is anyone facing this problem with ignition unit or is there any electrical issues which I need to look for ?Past & Current Bikes :

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Thanks a lot, Ijs. There was a stubborn rubber stain on my son's Interceptor 650. In the past, I tried in vain several Indian and foreign stuffs - ranging from Waxpol to rubbing compound/clay to vinyl cleaner - to get rid of that. But, it didn't budge. I used to have a great work out due to those unfruitful exercises. After seeing Ijs's recommendation, yesterday I ordered Autosol from amazon and got it delivered today. I tried it in the afternoon. The stain has gone without any trace after 4 trials in about 45 minutes.Originally posted by Ijs View PostI am personally using berite o and autosol.
