Re: Suzuki Burgman Street ownership & experience thread.

Before purchasing and making decision on this I've had a test ride of almost all the scooters in segment. This one felt buttery smooth amongst all. Even the Grazia felt vibey. So made a quick decision of buying it and made a purchase very next day. The experience at dealership was smooth. Thanks to I Suzuki, vadodara.

While coming back home i rode it on NH 8. And my god. What a smooth machine it is. The vibration doesn't exist anywhere on it. I continuously rode it with pillion at a speed of around 75 kmph. And it is butter smooth. Engine didn't feel stressed at all. So i kept riding at 75 kmph and varying the speed. In love with scooters from the day i rode it. Otherwise i am a bike guy. And i still am. But now i feel like i should always have a scooter. To us bikers that extra boot, that 12v power outlet, bottle holder and all feels luxury. Trust me. Just the sitting position gives me back pain on any scooter. But burgman has the widest seat in a segment and longest. And super soft sofa like seat. Love every bit of bike.

          Price breakdown-
          1. Ex-showroom Price- Rs 68271
          2. Insurance by Maruti Insurance in partnership with Universal Sompo 1+5 year- Rs. 6120
          3. Registration- Rs 5270
          4. Temporary Registration- Rs 200
          5. Number Plate- Rs 500
          6. Extended Warranty for 3 more years (2 yrs already given by manufacturer)- Rs 635

I bought through the Paytm offer with Rs 5000 cashback and another Rs 2000 cashback for paying through American Express Credit Card.
Offers and accessories I got from the dealer-
          1. Stainless Steel body frame guard front and back (same as used in Access 125). Does hamper the looks but since all this was for free so I added it for a little extra safety of the fiber body.
          2. A very cheap full face helmet which I used just once for bringing the scooter home. It easily fits inside the trunk of the scooter.Click image for larger version

          3. Ladies side Footrest worth Rs. 811
          4. Floor mat with Burgman label
          5. Some accessory for the horn which they said enhances the sound of the horn
          6. Full Tank petrol.
          7. Seat cover with dealership's label on it

          Accessories I bought-
          1. Suzuki Burgman body cover for Rs. 500

          2. Studds Shifter helmet for Rs 1800 (fits inside the trunk of the scooter but the sides of the helmet may get scratched as its a close fit and there is no clearance on the sides

          Riding Experience-
I have ridden almost 200 Km till now and its been really smooth. As its still in the break-in period I have ridden it below 65 kmph with gradual throttling and it was very stable at that speed. Braking is really strong and effective. The handling is the best part of this scooter. Even in heavy traffic I was easily able to manuever in between the vehicles. Handling never seems bulky like in Activa or other scooters. It just looks bulky but is very easy to ride even for an average height person (I am 5' 6"). Balance is very good, even at speeds of 5 kmph I didn't have to put my feet down even though I am a novice rider.
I haven't found any cons till now.
I will update about the fuel average and any cons I come across.

Congratz on your purchase! Did you try the N-Torq before getting this?

I bought one without even test riding it. As you mentioned, it's very smooth and comfy. Way more comfortable than any other scooter in the market. Not only smooth, above 70kmph it's rock stable also. Me too is a bike guy. When I started planning to buy a scooter, just for the usual commute and running errands; initially I chose the Grazia for its 125cc engine and big size. At that time Suzuki launched the Burgman. At the very first sight, I confirmed that this is the scooter for me. The launch date was July 19th and I got mine delivered at July 23rd. It is a black one. It feels like riding a bike. It has clocked 10500 kms till now and returns fuel efficiency figures between 55-58 kmpl.

Speaking of cons, the only thing that I came across is the lack of a rear brake locking mechanism, which is available in almost every other scooter. It is very irritating while parking or stopping at inclines. Click image for larger version

Congratulations brother. N black looks awesome man. And the one big pro is. Headlights and those DRLs. Headlight illuminates much better than other scooters in market. I've used activa 5g with leds. But they weren't this good.

10,500 kms in 8 months for scooter is so much. I've had it for 45 days and 500 kms on odo. Rofl. As i stated. I am more of a bike guy....

And i tasted that 12v socket with QC 3.0 charger. And yeah it does fast charging.

And it definitely is a head turner. People comment like it looks like a bike. I guess it's because of the windshield. Nevertheless this is my 1st scooter and am loving every bit of it. I'm loving the new found freedom of carrying things in my scooter without and bags and all which is needed on bikes to carry things.

It's because I ride it to work and its about 80kms to and fro. Since it is very comfortable, I had done a few long rides too.

Hey Guys, I had bought mine on 2nd August 2018 and completed around 8500KMs as of now and the ownership experience was just awesome.

                          Things i Loved:
1: Comfortable Seating for both Rider and Pillion
                          2: Boot Space
                          3: Butter Smooth Engine
4: Good Built Quality compared to other scooters ( Especially nTorq 125 )
5: Low Maintenance and Service Cost

                          Things i Hate:
1: Small Fuel Tank 5L (As this is a Touring oriented Scooter)
2: Mileage ( Mostly for me only, Everywhere i see people quoting 45=KMPL whereas i'm only able to get 32KMPL as average. My total tank rage is just 150Kms )

Here are some pictures of my ride:

Update: 2nd service done on 31st May. Cost Rs 430. Servicing experience was good and both services were done in 2 hrs.
Mileage: Getting 55-60 kmpl from last five filling cycles using full tank method. I usually use it to commute between Delhi and Gurgaon.
Haven't faced any issues till now.
