Bismaya, bro 100cc bikes have got catcon from bs3/2010 onwards. I am speaking of bs2 splendor and not cd100. Old Splendor crosses 100 while it runs on a compression ratio of just 8.8:1.

Bs3 norms were introduced in 2010 only.
really, you realize that this is a public forum only now, and you did not think it prudent to verify your "knowledge" before posting, and you figured out that the hero spares vendor page to be the best place to find when what parts where used and not the parts catalog or the people who have owned the respective bikes/still own them

Well, I have parts catalogs of almost all HH bikes post 2000. And I agree that a splendors meter has speedo error. But we've done the speed run on our MC highway along with a cbzX. Now cbzX has one of the most accurate speedos and can you say that it was showing wrong reading while chasing the splendor at 100+ kph?

there is no such thing as accurate speedos , get a sigma type cyclecomp, or a speedgun or minimum of gps to find the speed

Now if you don't know, 2011 karizmaZMR and cbzX use one of the most accurate speedos. They are as accurate as GPS.

And hgpmart.com is heros official spareparts website and not a vendor page. There you can select any part and check the compatibility with your bike. So don't judge others posts without proper knowledge.

Really, is it so, there is hardly any parts available there for bikes like karizma, cbz or others, and the parts available are like cone sets chain sprocket kits and , cables, stuff available with any decent ass
Every speedo , and I mean every speedo of every vehicle sold in India us required by law to over read so as to stay within the legal speed limits, and let me tell you this if it was do there will be no need for boxes or its ilk

Hero is the first manufacturer to launch such a platform for spare parts. Many parts of bikes up to 2003 are available, not older than that. You can get home delivery of parts through this site.

Again I repeat, 2011 ZMR and cbzX had damn accurate speedos. Don't know if hero was mad or what but they had it.

What is the point of having the site if you cannot order the parts you want , there are other sits like spares company offering or stuff from much before hero

And how did you come across such a gem of a conclusion

Re: Hero XPulse 200

My friend in 2015 bought a new hero hunk dual disk. I rode his bike when it was new and later when the odo read 5000+ kms. What MotoMan told here is true from my experience, the engine felt the same as it was new, you could feel the tight clearance inside of the engine with the characteristic smooth husky engine note. From that itself i told him that you got a well assembled engine take care of it, it will never disappoint you. He abused the bike to core, would never change the engine oil on time. Sometimes extending the drain period till the level falls below the minimum required. It took me some time to make him understand the importance of changing oil on time. The bike received a proper service at 40,000 kms when the airfilter, plug and oil was changed!! Now his bike is around 70mark still runs great without any ill feeling towards the rider!!

The point is that you get original stuff. Nowadays you get a lot of fake parts that too in original packing. Even the hologram for genuinity is copied. I've got a fake splendor swingarm from a local shop.

And what conclusion do you mean?

Most of the media agencies that have tested these bikes have told that the speedos are accurate as per their V-box tests. Morover, cbzX owners have confirmed it in the ownership thread.

The actual speed displayed on CBZ Xtreme has a 11% error the digital speedo. Most owners know that. The digital readout goes as far 130km/hr but we all know it's not possible to reach that mark on the very engine. Accurate as GPS? No GPS if ever accurate. Even the most accurate GPS in my city shows a patch of trench as a highway. How can you compare a GPS and a Speedo? Both are two different things.

A poorly maintained bike (even with higher displacement engine) takes a lot to catch a well maintained smaller capacity bike. Head over to the CD/Joy/Splendor/Passion thread and ask long time owners what the actual speed of the 100cc motor is. I haven't been riding as long as some of them but in the last 22 years of my existence here's my experience of the 100cc's I've had at home before my dad sold some of them. None of them justify your claims about the speed & meters. You're not wrong about the engines though. Some of them are very reliable. Post 2010, cost cutting did ruin it, which you have been observing on your Passion.

1. A 1987 Honda branded CD100 (Sold)
2. 1994 CD 100 Deluxe
3. 2000 Catcon 100SS (Sold)
4. Hero Splendor Pro 2015 (My secondary commuter for city use)

Apart from that I own a 2016 CB Unicorn which shares most of it's underpinnings with the CBZ X.

The 2011 ZMR has very accurate speedo sensor which is also shared with the cbzX. The cbzX with which I tested is 2011 herohonda make and it never went above 112kph. Later versions of hero branding like xtreme sports show a more optimistic reading. Over the years cost cutting has been done to the body panels but the engines are as solid and reliable as ever.

Edit: I understand that we've drifted far away from the main topic. I respect everybody's views and knowledge. Hence from my part I am ending this conversation right here.
