    3. Saddle stay and top rack from Zana International.
    4. LED indicators made for the KTM Duke series.

    I would love to get some inputs from some of the experts in the forum here on what could possibly be done to counter the issue on hand. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

    Exactly my concerns about the bike, I want a bike which can do 100KPH whole day (without much stress on engine).
    If I have to add so much of the mods, Then I would prefer Yamaha fz25 (costwise).

      100 kmph will be around 7000 RPM and revlimits at 9000 RPM.
      Guess this helps out.
      Also I personally feel Xpulse 2 and 3rd gears are already on taller side.
      I would love least 1 and 2 to be closed ratio 3 to be mediocre tall, the rest 4 and 5 to be tallest.

      If you cruise around 80 and 90 Xpulse is the go.

          AFIK it is stressed at 100kmph. No ideas on BS6 oil cooled ones.

            If you change to fully synthetic oil, you can expect +5kmph cruising speed. Engine revvs more freely. YMMV

              Hello guys,

              The bikes cruising speed on highways is around 90 anything more than that it feels stressed. My primary use is touring and trails and i dont mind if the bike's a little sluggish, if it means the cruising speed marginally increases. I thought of changing the gearing for more top end, the current gearing is 13/38 and i want it to be 14/38. I have searched around for 14t sprockets. FZ150: only for hole for the bolt so not a proper fit, rtr180: the holes dont match to one on the case, avenger: the crank hole does not fit, I am yet to try the 200ns, 220 and the duke 250 sprockets. I have looked at rear sprocket options but the only one i found was from sparrowteck and it is 3k. Can anyone please suggest a solution for the front sprocket issue? If any of you have swapped pls let me know which one worked.

                Xpulse 200t has 37 teeth rear sprocket, and i think it should fit the xpulse 200. I have not used it though so not sure

                  You can use 47 teeth rear sprocket from Honda Hornet.

                    Actually, The question is about increased crusing speed, so Need to reduce the size of the rear sprocket or Increase the front sprocket.

                      Hello all my fellow XBHPians,

                      I need your help in deciding a steed for my daily use and following is the info:

                      1) Budget: Cannot go too north of 2 Lacs
                      2) Daily commute (once lockdown is lifted): 40Kms total (bottleneck traffic "TO" and no traffic "FRO") over the potholed Mumbai roads.
                      3) Riding Style: Sedate (cant do much in bottleneck Mumbai traffic)
                      4) Road trips: Approx. 4 in a year (not too far out...about 200 Kms one way)
                      5) Requirements from the bike: Easy handling, comfortable ergos (relaxed rider triangle preferred due to age being on the wrong side of thirties and weight being on the wrong side of nineties) , not too tall (I am 5'8 but with shorter in-seams), ability to cruise "relatively" stress free on highway speeds hovering around 90's.
                      6) Pillion comfort is also a deciding factor.
                      7) Current ride: BSIII Bajaj Avenger 220 Street

                      I am leaning towards the Xpulse 200 BSVI but a couple of doubts need to be cleared and that is why I reach out to thee:

                      a) As far as performance (BHP. Torque and Top Speed) go, it wont be much of an upgrade from my Avy. The Avy is quite reluctant at speeds north of 80-85K and from what I've learnt this is where the Xpulse is also comfortable at, post which vibes and reluctance creep in.
                      b) There is a lot of disparity between people saying the suspension is too stiff to people saying the suspension is plush. I am not a test ride person as Test Bikes often cannot be taken as yardsticks due to the fact that they are thrashed and mishandled. I would prefer the suspension to be medium sprung. Something that would take the broken Mumbai roads with aplomb and not break my back in the process.
                      c) A couple of known issues like tappet noise, the glaring "jugaad" notch on the chassis to accommodate the engine outlet and ABS locking up may be deterrents and it would be awesome if an owner can shed light on whether these niggles have been taken care of.
                      d) The other bikes I have shortlisted (I do not want anything below 200cc) are Yamaha FZ25 and Suzuki Gixxer 250 (i know they belong to different segments but I prefer function over form)
                      e) I do not like the following bikes for the following reasons:
                      • Duke 200 - Too expensive, stiffly sprung (awesome handling though), a little tall for my liking (though the Xpulse seat height is no shorter)
                      • Bajaj NS200 - Owned it back in 2012 but faced quite a few issues as the bike became older. Suspension became non existent after a few years.
                      • Apache RTR 200 4V - Vibes
                      • Dominar 250 - Too heavy for a 250 CC, translates to cumbersome crawling performance in the city.
                      • Husqvarna Smartpilen / Vitpilen twins - Small fuel tank, expensive, lack of pillion comfort, too tall for an otherwise tiny package.

                      Anyone suggest I wait for the Suzuki Intruder 250 (the patent images leaked online today)?

                        FZ25 seems to tick all the boxes that you are interested in and will be more practical than any of the other bikes you mentioned. It'll ideally function for both the city as well as any highway commutes. Take a TD and see where you are at with it. It's the most comfortable 200-250cc bike I've ever ridden and has all the practical power & torque figues that one could ask for.

                          pricing of FZ25 BS6 is in the bracket of GIxxer 250, with Oil cooler and an additional gear, better highspeed and torque.
                          Regarding comfort, I have not ridden it so, not sure. Only TD can help you.

                              Thanks bro. Even I feel that the Gixxer with the highway gear would be stress free. FZ25 is a great city slicker.
