    Hi,

Well who rides a Caliber these days. I do and I do it with a pride.

Yes maybe Caliber might never garner the fan following that a Pulsar or Karizma or a Apache or for that matter even a bullet will gather.

But i have sweet memories of this bike and believe that there are a lot of old timers who would swear by the Caliber.

I own a 2002 Bajaj Caliber UG. The one with the revised graphics and speedo console and yes a lot more "Caliber"

The Caliber UG was the first upgrade to the first generation caliber that broke the shackles of being "just another 100cc Bike".
Who would have even thought of having a Tacho in an indian Executive segment Bike. But Bajaj did and did it in style

Well to bring back old memories here is alink to the original TV ad.

      Even I own a Caliber!

      Caliber 115 Indeed ||Hooodddibaba|| 2003 model.

The bike is great, light zippy and really easy to handle in daily traffic.

Yo! Finally there is a thread for Caliber ownership. As Vincy has said i am also a loud and proud owner of Caliber. Have done 70K kilometers on that since 2002. And even today i feel it as 'the unshakable'.

I ride my caliber everyday with lotzz of pride to work .I have this wonderfull "workhorse" 1999 model.its been a great pleasure to have this bike.I know i wont stand in the beauty and muscle section in front of the pulsars and the unicorn, apache Rtrs, but the actual things matter is the "fuel receipt" when one analyse the mileage per litre i guess all those heavy beast lie flat on there faces.increadible it still give me 55kms/per litre.
Its a sweet heart.its works in rain winter summer without giving an trantrums.the best line i would say is
              "Old is Gold"
To all the Caliber rides "We all have a great beauty between our legss"
              god bless and take care

I also have very sweet memories of Caliber, I(financed by my dad) bought it when i was in collage (1998). I used it till last year when i got myself next best Indian bike, Unicorn(with my hard earned money). My Caliber was with me throughout my strugling times I clocked almost 85000 kms on it and travelled day n night. Even today I have it and still it is unshakeable.

                Some good things about it:
                1. First and foremost the exaust note is superb.
                2. Really tough bike, you take her on any terrain and it will keep going without any fuzz.
                3. Riding 50-60 kmph is really easy, mileage is never problem for it.
                4. Headlight is awesome, even truckers have to switch to dipper infront of it.
                5. Needs minimum maintenance.
                6. Cornering on this bike is very confidence inspiring.
                7. Very balanced front rear weight distribution, and suspensions are so far better on any other bike of that time.
                7. Lastly it was very comfy to ride hours on it.

                Now some bad:
                1. In all those 9 years I had only one complain about it that it had only 110mm brake drums hance the braking was poor.
                2. With heavy pillion the front gets light.

I still enjoy it even after riding Uni I still feel that Caliber has still something special.

I am also a proud owner of Caliber 115 since 2003 august. Great ride, had occassional long trips to lonavala, alibaug, wada. So far 70000 km, average around 65kmpl.

Maintenance, routine servicing after 3000 km or 3 months. Only a head light bulb and rear tyre changed. The stock spark plug is still going.

Miss electric start and feel a dated styling. Rest peace of mind.

The old ad was superb. And the exhaust note is to die for. It was a great bike of its time.
