      hey there

welcome n really this was one of my first questions too when i joined xbhp.
bt unfortunately as i dun live wer u live i couldn't reach too far.

first of all u need a racing suit make sure its 1 piece leather.
den u need a racing licence which u can get by consulting a club nearby.

u can register to a club nearby ur house or can directly head to chennai race track n register there as a member of the club.

u can get more info at www.fmsci.com

now they (the club ppl) will keep u updated abt the upcoming n ongoing events and i suggest u go through that first.
tvs racing n honda make 1 race is a good option for everybody to start with rather than goin in for a tournament.

once u have a feel of the real race then decide weather to go in for a championship or not.

before joining n e school u should visit the track n get a feel of it once then u'll kno weather u need to join something or not.

i did reach dis far n had a conversation with the person (i forgot his name) who's the head of the track Mr chandok mayb.

all people are helpful, jus reach them n dey will guide u accordingly n will clear all ur doubts.

age is nvr a problem dude until u have amazing lap times it doesn't matter if ur 60.

n regarding the height, u will soon figure out the perfect stance that can hold u well on the track.

let me kno if u reach somewhere n all the very best.

sorry for not talking abt he racing suit in the earlies post.
go to cramster.in to get the cheapest n good racing suit.
rest all are way too expensive.

        Thanks for the great info.

How about any brand of suit which is cheap?
How is T.W.O racing school for starters? is that only for expert or for superbikes?

well i dun hav much info abt t.w.o racing school
bt i strongly recommend that u should go in for beginners race like tvs race a bike scheme or honda make 1 race instead of a racing school first.

once u learn u will improve n would not need any kind of racing training at all.

rossi nvr joined a racing school mate.

go for tvs race a bike scheme which is normally in may or for honda make 1 race possibly at feb.
see what u do there coz if ur good u will be pushed up to championships by ur club itself.

n e 1 can race at tvs n honda races held twice a year so i think its an amazing option.
i might also go in for tvs race a bike scheme this year n honestly i kno dudes who have raced donnington park in the uk n all of them say that u actually dun need a racing school to really learn how to race.
a couple of thackdays will make u a pro.

the quality of racing suit matters
angels racing suit costs arr 20-20k

bt its not good quality wise

cramster is a good deal they sell 1 piece for 25-30k depending upon the size.

cramster also makes custom sized suits that fits exactly ur size bt charge extra

          cramster is good in quality.

if u go in for international brands den alpinestars is way too expensive.
u might go in for joe rockets.

bt i think u shud start with cramster Cramster Gear Co.: Stuff more than enough! - India's first premium bike luggage - Saddlebags, Tankbags and more...

          honestly dude.
get ur mind off the racing school n go at the track n try to do ur best.

i m too planning to go in for professional racing bt der's still time for that, so mayb we'll meet at some race one day.

good luck n dun worry too much talk to the guy at the madras motorsports club u'll feel good.

          all the best...

I'm 6ft myself...its not ideal coz you an be a bit cramped..but if you have talent it will not stop you from being successful as a racer.

2.) Can i start this late? have anyone started late like me?

Yes you can start this late, again its not ideal for a full fledged career in racing but ultimately if you are fit and have talent you will be fine. I started later than you

3.) Can any guys help me about riding techniques?

You can learn that at the track from experienced riders or at a race school. Be careful who you take advice from...everyone will be willing to give it...few know what they are talking about.

4.) How often should i practice?

As often as you can...the more the better.

5.)I have plan to participate in T.W.O racing training but got afraid that whether newbie like me will be allowed in that? becoz i saw photos in some expert rider with superbikes.

                    already answered that one

6.)Which racing suit and gear is cheap?

cramster is affordable and good to start with

Which bike would be good to start with?

Which bike can i start racing with?
My friend suggested me with 125cc ybx in group D. Any other bike?
Can anyone say approximate cost for bike and cost of suit, boots, gloves & helmet?
tell cost of each items seperately & also the cheapest version becoz am just a starter.

Thanks for the support given from this forum too.
