Am no expert. I just know the way to track and back. Don't worry about the weight for now, as you practise you can bring it down. Btw, what bike you have now ?

Chennai is the nearest track you have got. 400 bucks per session

I had electra and now just a passion. planning for R15(My dad is too frightened of YAMAHA, so need to convince him). Will get YBX for racing.

Actually am a bit skeptical about YBX. If its YBX, it will be only a Hard core Group D machine. An RTR might have a better value in terms of fun. It might also be Helpfull for you to Ride in the TVS race a bike scheme. Just think of it.

                          Thanks for kind reply,

I planned for YBX because as a starter i can go for 125cc group D. If i go for apache, i need to go for higher level of competition and experieced racer, right? is it not difficult? Y not R15? i thought of entering easily first and go on higher level. can u tell advantages of going to RTR instead of YBX? I never knew about racing so please be bit elaborate

Not sure about what is a YBX (that ? : YAMAHA YBX Review, YAMAHA YBX Price, YAMAHA YBX Mileage - MouthShut.com) .

Maybe you can learn how get good position of your body on the bike and track trajectory...
But if you can, maybe it will be better to go directly to one RTR or R15.

RTR and R15 have better frame, tyres, brakes, foot peg more height and also more power... than the YBX (in stock condition).

There is also a lot of beginer with R15 and RTR ...

                              Oh, thanks for the info,

If suppose i go for RTR, i think R15 is a lot racing bike and have lots of pick up than RTR. If R15 and RTR gonna race in a single race, R15 wins easily right? then whats use of getting RTR? I need to think for RTR if it too has advantage. RTR vs R15, which is better in track racing? Why?

(Again letting u know, Am zero in racing knowledge, so help me patiently plzz)

R15 is way ahead of RTR, But even in second hand, costs more than twice that of 2nd hand RTR.

Let me also put it in another way.A 2nd hand R15 costs more than a brand new RTR

There are lots of ppl who are practising with R 15( including me )
