yep 40 is the bench mark. biaggi was suppose to stop racing this year itself. i dont think these guys want to get into a situation where they get injured and miss out on an entire season. as recovery time may take longer. i wont be surprised if checa calls it a day as well end of next season.
about the WSTK situation. the rc8 did compete couple of years back, i am guessing they already have data collected from that championship anyway. why waste a year in the wstk for one more year. since wsbk's new regulations helps teams compete with much lesser budgets would lot more feasible. dont you think so. i like the ideas of. SO 1013 will be Ducati, Kawa, Honda, KTM, BMW,Aprilia with Suzuki still in doubt. i can't wait.

Probably this is already posted. But fantastic battle between Haga and Mr Ducati (Bayliss). Got it from DavideBrivio's tweets:

Ok If anybody is still around.
Read this. Gives a picture about how different the WSBK machines are.
Riding the 2011 World Superbikes in Portimao, Portugal- Special Feature ? Cycle World
And the rider's feeling of riding the Kawasaki reminds me of Steve Atlas or some other journo's comments after riding Regis Laconi's Old Kawasaki.. Horribly position to ride .. brutal and impossible to control !
Why do all Kawasaki riders set it up that way ? mmm.. somethin fishy !BAYLISSTIC !!!!

nice article...,
regarding the Kawa point...isn't it the same even for Honda & yamaha...even for their GP machines..., The Honda is always refined, easy to tame/ride...., the Yamaha with best handling, stable under braking, huge corner grip....no?
maybe its just the way these bikes/factories work...or maybe it is the character of each of them...,
& Checa not using wheelie control/less electronics...another natural rider (casey)..., either he is crashing (motogp 2002/2003) or he is devastatingly fast...

1. Machine : I agree with u on this and from history kawasaki is known to produce Widow makers like the first 750 ! The turbo bike ! the 2004 Zx10r and the 636 which was one of my favourites .
2. Rider: Some riders really have odd riding styles and when these kind of riders team up with twitchy machinery it is gonna leave everybody else wondering how did he do it. After imagining how the setup would have been I am amazed as much as the journo as to how he won in Nurburgring
One more info if u did nt know Canepa was one odd man too. He had a thumb actuated rear brake ! since his feet was too huge !
Thats what forums are for my like minded friend ! Post what u read elsewhere that ll be better than a thanksOriginally posted by RanjithMN View PostGreat read that one!
