Ok, but how about fixing a plastic fenner instead of a chromed one? Isn't that permitted too?Originally posted by rameshmadhavan View Postys group d is for stock, cant change even the air filters, can remove the rvrm, light, battery, rest all should be stock. am getting my YBX ready....will complete it by end of monday, shedding as much weight as possible from the bike...otherwise going to be in stock condition.
Guys - Need help in buying leathers, not too costly stuff but a decent one I have the below mentioned which can be readily used on track
Riding Boots - RJays Edge
Gloves - Alpinestars GP+
Helmet - Vega Boolean (Not sure if the same can be used in the track)
Other items are more for touring (Mesh / textile Jacket / Pants / Knee Guards)Never Give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about.

Ys I had checked, YBX is no more there, but can be used for practicing and maybe will get a Apache which is the cheaper option...Originally posted by raja_roadster View PostDid you check the list of homolagated vehicles only alba and gladi are there from the yammy stable

Apache is 160 cc then you would ve to compete in the Group D (modified below 165cc category); try getting a used gladiator or borrow one from your friend as you re a first timer its more better you try the entry level group D(upto 130cc stock) Gladi will not let you down .Just my two cents..
Or else try trading the Ybx for a gladi

Alba as for as i know its a commuter vehicle...and its <100 cc,Originally posted by raja_roadster View PostSince apart from gladi the other options are alba and stunner ; stunner would cost a bomb dono about alba's performance ; Is it good or gladi is better than it
stunner / Gladiator / YBX all fall under the same category, maybe we can look at twister also, rest all I dont think it would be worth it to spend
Have given a comparison between Stunner and YBX

Ys twister is homologatedOriginally posted by raja_roadster View PostBut twister is it homologated under Fmsi
Ramesh sir could you please give me a rough budget of riding gear that would come into scene
Entry level Leathers - Approx 20k
Riding Boots - Approx 5k
Gloves - Approx 2.5k
Helmet - Approx 3k
These are only basic and if your bank balance is high you can get premium stuff
