        Wonderful, Strider!
Even though it's 'small' when compared to MotoGP et al, I had a rush of emotions watching those track prepped R6s and CBRs at MMRT.
Yes, it's someday for me too........!
I had no clue even in 2011 that I 'd be experiencing something like this in the near future. So, keep the fire alive, mate!

PS: More than the R6s and CBRs, I loved the skinny two-strokes. Theirs was a wild cry! Angry mode. Don't know why I didn't add that.

Thanks! I am just using a point and shoot camera. Serves the purpose. Although, I admire photographers and their work, I don't want to be one myself.

@R-series: That was a very bad incident at Sepang. Good that you held things back. Cheers!

              Soldiering on.....

PS: Those roundish Yamaha men at the decks are as serious and focused as Lorenzo himself. And that's Bautista's riding boots.

Further, we walked past a teenager on crutches and instantly, I knew he is a top pup in the junior class but, failed to recognize him. It’s so easy because all kids look alike.

Later, I realized that it was Luis Salom from Moto3. "Poor boy! He is leading the class and is going to miss the race." To my amazement, when I was following the feeds, he is second on the timesheets on Friday! And he wins on Sunday!

Oooh, initially I thought it was his truck, but failed to find 46 or VR written anywhere.
Btw the second video shows so much. I always thought how do these guys keep the bikes and leathers so clean they shine like mirrors under the Qatar lights

At the end of the paddocks, I was in for a surprise. A group of yellow/46 followers were waiting at his motorhome. The Doctor is in! Waiting is boring. So, we continued further and that turned to be rather good – met Laverty, Cal and Aleix Espargaro. I wanted to talk to Laverty but, in all that excitement, one tends to forget. We walk back to Rossi’s motorhome and moments later, The Doctor is out!

Hair-raising moment, literally! I see ROSSI for the first time!

                  I look like a porcupine.

When I asked Espargaro about his bike for 2014, he said that he doesn't know. Bear in that Power Electronics Aprilia has still him under contract for the next year. He needs a better package. Emmett said that he can push the team to release him under some clause. We don't that as yet. Cal was somewhat in a world of his own, had little time for photos, autographs and questions. May be, he wanted to fix that damn new fuel tank! Laverty was a cool and nice person but, I didn't make use of the situation.

Chase the Ducatis! Nice damsel, btw!

Back to Rossi. Rossi is at the top when it comes to handling people who like him. People follow him like mad bees. They chase him everywhere - motorhome, paddocks, pits, pitlane, media room etc. Partly, he himself is responsible for this. He obliges. He sets a good amount of time for posing in front of the lenses and scribbling on a paper. He doesn't get irritated. But, he exactly knows when to leave. He does that without hurting or disappointing the crowd much. After all, he is wily!

We encountered a couple of Moto2 and Moto3 bikes being worked on and warmed up at the garages. Here's a Moto2 machine. Notice the flame being thrown out.

At the paddocks, there was a big make shift garage where Bridgestone tyres were housed.

Well, in F1, they have different colour codes for tyres. Does anyone know what tyre spec are these?

                      Further, at the Yamaha paddock,

Alex Briggs is seen talking to Michael Morel, motogp.com's media in charge.

I steal a moment to run up to Alex and ask for a photograph. Well, my intention was to have a chat with him. Alex is known to provide some juice to the British media once in a while. Aussies love to talk. But, it wasn’t possible then. All I 'd do was pull the "Ashes" trick, "Good luck with Ashes, mate!" and he took the bait, "Hope, we can do something in the 5th test". He laughed aloud. Fifty odd people around us didn’t understand a word of it and looked surprised. I had made a mark but, I wanted something more.

                      Next up, Pitlane......!

haha! There were so many things going on everywhere simultaneously that it was hard to calm an excited brain and take things step by step. Sorry, that's all I have of that machine.

me me me...Bridgestone brings in 2 compounds every weekend, soft and hard. Now these can be super soft and soft, but the soft is then called hard. So comparatively soft and hard.
The ones with white strips are the softer ones.

btw, keep that "Next up" part with every post, keeps the excitement alive

@R-series: That "like" was for your explanation - Bridgestone.

                          .......................................

Riders are just like you and me, made of flesh and bones. You can't watch them all day. The core of the grand prix flavour lies in the race machines. I 'd pick spending time with a bike than a person on any given day, Rossi included.

At the pitlane, first was Karel Abraham's. Although a local, his pit was in no demand. Strange. But, there ‘d a lot of fans for the weekend. He stays a few kms from the circuit and his dad is one of the members in the committee.

Yes, he's a lucky lad. Someone told me that Lukas Pesek is a better rider than Karel Abraham but, he is on a bad bike and thus, failing to do anything decent.

Here's a photo of Pesek's Aprilia GP 250 displayed at one of the karting circuits in Prague. I was there a couple of months back and that was my first brush with a GP machine!

I had read somewhere that the mechanics want to do the washing and polishing themselves because it gives them a feel of the parts when they are in their hands - a sense of connection which would give them insight into damages, minor cracks and dents.

Absolutely true. That's the same reason I mange my bikes on my own. I only take then to the svc for regular oil change and stuff. I do the cleaning, chain adjusting and all other tweaks on my own.
Cos at the end mechanics are the ones who do the changes, if they know the part well it helps them understanding what amount of change will cause how much affect.
It would be best if the riders were their own mechanics, but that would be too extreme😜
