Hosur-based TVS Motor Company has been at the forefront of Indian two-wheeler racing for over a decade now. TVS returns with a Racing School in order to provide a platform for budding talent
TVS products have been sincerely developed and evolved from experience gathered by its motorsport division, TVS Racing. TVS was the first company to bring circuit racing within the reach of larger enthusiasts with its TVS Race-a-Bike scheme and since then the company has been actively involved in giving opportunities to upcoming talent. Staying true to its commitment to two-wheeler motorsport, TVS has joined hands with Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC) to introduce a new activity for all the budding racers known as the TVS Racing School. The racing school will be a one-day event and it will be held at the Madras Motor Race Track in Sriperumbudur, Chennai.
The school will consist of various activities related to two-wheeler road-racing in India and will provide complete information as well as track experience to the participants. The day will start with a briefing session that will include detailed information on Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI), the Road Racing Regulations, the Disciplinary & Arbitration Code, flag signals, technical regulations etc. After the briefing process, the participants will be given TVS motorcycles for practical riding lessons on the track and they will be taught the correct riding postures along with track-riding advise under the guidance of experts like Mr. Subash Chandra Bose.
TVS has also announced that the Racing School event will be a part of the TVS Race-a-Bike Scheme from next year onwards, so the trainees can also get a taste of racing on the track. The participation will have a minimum of ten riders and maximum of fifteen riders on first come first serve basis. The enrollment fee is Rs. 1000/- per rider and MMSC has already begun taking entries for the racing school. The interested riders can contact MMSC officials through the following contact details:
