Group D spec R15's do 2:11's on the full track, the record is currently held by Ten10 Racing

Hmm, dunno about that man...you learn a lot of things from racing, but something as basic as the lines you get much before getting into racing...You guys have been at it for a while so i figured i'd give you some feedback. By all means keep having fun though, thats what its about
      WOW !!!!

2:15 on a bone stock R15... I would have to say , that is close to Mission Impossible to me now....

But Killer, I understood your point... This track day was not as serious as yours at your end at KARI.... I did not know that there was an event like this organised by you guys until it was too late, otherwise i would have made it... There had to Glamor and Style to the hard work the guys put in... A knee down was a good reward to the first timers... I had to encourage it, because they had to come back one more time..... I did not mean to offend you my friend, but your point is definitely understood...

I tried telling people the lines i knew on the half and the full track... However it was literally impossible for me to control the pace on the lines i usually take so that people could follow me and probably learn a couple of good things ... I would like to know how is done though....

its ok man...i know the feeling of wanting to get knee down and as a biker its a special moment to remember all ur life...these are all stages you progess through....however some riders get stuck and cant progress beyond a point. For those riders who are already comfortable knee down..its time to focus on other things if you want to get faster...thats all i'm saying...

You've got me encouraged to go back again. You did the first time, and now you did again. And, from what you were able to teach me, I did get quicker. I do need to consider getting a better bike though. The Pulsar can only take me so far. And I need proper leathers. Time to start saving up.

I'm able to get your point. But seriously, if you can do 2:15's and lesser, it'd be amazing to have a track day down here with pros like you showing us the lines. Varun(wonderboy) was able to guide me quite a lot, and I KNOW I got faster with his help. But, yeah, for those of us who'd want to progress even further, help from pros like you or Joel would be seriously good.

We're trying to start an initiative where we're gathering enough photos or videos
of erratic Swiggy/Zomato/UberEats riders across all cities so we can cast a spotlight
on this issue and try and sort it out. If you video-record as you ride, or have a
dash-cam in your car, or can take SAFELY photographs of instances where these riders
are creating a nuisance by riding recklessly on the roads, PLEASE share the same with
us on the thread above. Appreciate it!

Nice pics...small piece of advice though...everyones working hard on knee down which is nice but first work on getting the lines right. On a R15 you can go around the chennai track doing below 2:25's without putting a knee down.

I was doing 2:27's my best there is 2:23... After a few races, i have come to a conclusion that racing lines can be learnt only by participating more in competitive riding and not track days... we were there to have some fun and we did.... PERIOD.... It would have been nice to have a person like you there.....
Yup, a bone stock R15 with mirrors and a saree guard can do a 2:15 flat with an excellent rider on board. I have timed Killer clocking 2:15 on his friends showroom stock R15 with tyres that were run quite a bit on street.

Let me make this point clear to you about the Group D bikes. Please dont presume that all Group D bikes are fiddled with and are way faster than their showroom stock counterparts.
The main reason why a Group D bike is coz of the weight reduction, optimum level of tune (dedicated race bikes never see streets), best possible levels of suspension tune-up.
HOwever there are a few obvious racers and tuners who DO run illegal bikes to get an edge over others...but the top teams maintain their ethics. There are several ways of going faster with a stock engine sticking to the rule books. Thats race tune for you.
We at Ten10 Racing have the current lap record at the chennai circuit with a best time of 2:11.4 on our Group D spec R15 with a 55kilo rider. Goes to say that, there is a lot more that you guys need to do before even thinking of breaking some laptimes.

On a personal front, I have myself not been riding at the track since ages now(last was 8 months ago) and the best I could manage on the same Group D bike was a best of 2:18. I myself need to shave a lot to get to the full race pace, but I'm however not in the sport to ride anymore. Does not matter therefore.

                      Have fun and ride safe!

Isn't that way too less? At that weight should the rider also come under some sort of a height margin too say 160~170cms? Are there more than one line a rider can take to go fast around the track i.e. for the time of 2'11" is there only one line that can be taken to achieve this time or are there several?

yeah, you told me how to ride, on which gear to to take the different corners. very useful man. since it was my first track day and i had to ride on the same bike back to mumbai, did not push much next track day i'll get a exclusive bike, even thrashed wont affect anything got my knee down and will work on the lines next time i was just watching how you and insidous were riding around the corners and tried the same thing.. dang! next lap i am scrapping my knee was a special moment.. still tons to learn on a track.. hope to ride with u and pro's more and thanks for organising the track day
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

Btw, this P220 seems to be running extremely low tyre pressure at the rear!!

Yes it was, i overheard someone saying that the tyre pressures for the track should be 18psi (thats nearly half the normal value for the 220) at the rear and 24psi at the front, can someone confirm this?
