      Oh no!

Man... I dont know what to say... How long will it take to heal? And how is it fixed? Plate?

Even I had a minor injury, so finances took a hit. Won't be able to make it...
      You get the point?? :D

@SVJ : I should be able to walk close to 100% in another 6 months time... I dun think i will ever be track fit again.... Doctors are pretty sure that i should never take another bike again.... Lets see.... I hope to be back on two wheels, probably after recovery i might have to remove the metal attachment...

yeah dude... It is a plate.... an L shaped plate... The Arm of the Letter L is been drilled into my Pelvis and the length of the albhabet is being screwed to my thigh.... I hope you get the picture.... next time i have a crash towards the right, then they might have to replace the ball and socket joint connecting the leg and the hip... and hence the complication.... thats much about it.... I guess I will have to stick with photography from now

wonderboy: sorry to hear tat dude...feeling really bad, doctors advising not to get on bikes would be the hardest part of any bikers life to accept...seems a very bad crash as thigh bone is considered to be the hardest bone in our body,so wat speeds were you/car doing..

I pray to god for your speedy recovery and hope to see you soon on 2wheels..

take it easy for a while varun, let it heal before you get back on the track. i am sure you will return to the track. the docs had said i will never be able to ride too.
just give it time to heal and you choose what can and cant do.

keep your morale up, watch a lot of cartoons... worked for me.

sorry to hear this man... here is to a fast, complete and painless recovery.

                          cheers
                          Abhishek

in 2006, i got into a drag with a fellow (whom i knew little about) in the middle of night..obviously i was heavily intoxicated. Results ..? Heavy crash at close to 90-95km/hr, without a helmet, wearing a half sleev shirt and sandals. I was bed ridden for well over 2 months. lost all flesh from my knee and a lot more from my hands. had to bandage my knee and hold it still for a month. After that my knee wouldn't bend. stiff joint..docs said it would take months and that i should try small exercises, and forget about riding.

I tried many things...the mere thought of not able to ride a bike, made me mad.. i tried sitting on my bike.try doing this without bending ur knee. i tried to lift my leg, and put it in the rear foot pegs. i couldn't..i kept on trying and finally managed to do so..days passed and always i would try to bring my knee up. You can't imagine the joy i had when finally i could rest my knee on the footpegs, and change gears. I will never forget that day..it's as they say, u learn to ride first before u can walk.. i rode around in empty roads and came back grinning..

don't let this incident bother you. every biker will have to go through this..u'll be up and running sooner than you think. Just take enough rest and have confidence in urself. Be happy too, as it coul've been a lot worse.
