    800cc specs are-4 cylinder,v or straight,4 stroke,DODC,4 valve per cylinder,naturally aspirated,liquid cooled,single water pump,over 220 Bhp @18000 RPM(redline).
Well the 125cc' are single cylinder 2-strokes and so the 250cc'

      • 125s are carburetted singles, I'd guess with 45 odd bhps.
250s are inline 4s. Fuel injected and around 100 bhps.

And yeah, while taking the turn, Lorenzos rear tyre touched the white line, spun off and lowsided.

Toni elias, touched the white paint, tyre spun off, it got on the tarmac again, tyres gripped and in a typical highside scenario threw him off !!

What was Pedrosa's problem ? Was he too jittery from his earlier crashes and was too cautious ? And shame on the Ducati team management !!
That was a disaster for them !

            250cc comes with 100 bhp
so 800cc comes with 200+ bhp

And they did not renew the contract with MotoGP coz they will be hosting F1 from next year. MotoGP is going to silverstone from next year onwards!!

Apparently, the owners of donninghton really wanted to raise cash to upgrade the facilities at the place, wich some say have toilets from the WWII era !!!

And it seems the only way sponcers were ready to pay was if they bid for F1 instead !!

In fact theres news that in the first year on 800s (2007), Yamaha had brought in the Doppler effect engineers from Yamaha musical instruments to examine the sound of Ducati Desmos, and they concluded from the exhaust note that the Dukes must be maing upwards of 240 bhps !!!

dude i am sure the 250 cc are 2 cylinder.can you give any idea of how much RPM do they run for maximum power?

pedrosa looked like he was too afraid to push,i really hate to see him been overtaken
by others,he is probably the calmest and coolest rider on the circuit,i like his style.
from the beginning i knew ducati had made the mistake because all other teams were on slicks.

240!!!!! wow.please explain more about the doppler effect guys, haha!!

i have 1 more question-which 800 cc bike makes the most BHP? and how come the desmos are better than normal valve springs which other than removing the valve floating problem,do they increase the bhp as well?

                    • ^The desomodromic system allows for higher revs by eliminating the valve bounce issue with the conventional spring-valve return systems.
A higher rev ceiling allows for more top end punch.

                      • how come a desmo engine produce more HP than other normal valve spring engines when the upper limit according to regulations for all engines is 18000 RPM? dont all engines rev upto the limit for maximum power output?

also does the honda pneumatic valve does the same function as a desmo valve?
                        i am confused.

And adding to Macerick, since the valve bounce is eliminated, there is less loss by friction, and that comes into play with the 21litres limit for fuel, where the Desmo engine can be at the higher revs more often and at those revs produce more power !!

I had a website long time back describing all the 4-5 motogp bikes, i'll try to look it up !!

And also I think Lorenzo's style of riding doesn't help him in wet track. If you see closely along with his hanging off from the bike, his head and upper body also goes with the turn so a little hickup can throw him out of the bike.
Other riders were also slipping with rear tyre but at least they could control the slip by their upper body positioned in the corner. I might be wrong totally
No idea about Pedrosa! If he was slipping he could have gone to pits and picked the wet tyres

Major goof up on Ducati Factory teams part. They took a big gamble and it went the badder way for them. Anyways can't blame them for that decision. Had there been rain and track was totally wet, they would have won by a huge margin and everyone would have praised for the same decision.
Goes to show how much the team, race conditions, etc matter and can alter the results drastically.

And i read in MCN ! that thos Brit fans say 'Toseland has done enough to stay in MOTOGP for 2010' .

Thats a bit controversial i guess ! well guys what do you think about this ?
