    peace...

"No comments" it might be for most of the time in the interview.. but at least it is official that the upgrade is coming for sure, with not much of a styling change.

Even then, the buzz should have been more.

Refreshing the rtr160 is definitely a good thing. But it makes more sense for people who are looking to buy a new bike in 150/160cc segment...guys here either already have rtr160/160Fi and may not(?) be intent on upgrading to the hyperedge unless the improvements are so damn good...or there are guys who have bigger bikes who may not be very excited about the upgrade other than a general "ya thats a good thing" feeling...or there are people who are anxiously looking for a bigger bike(read apache200/220) fuelled by the earlier rumours but only disappointed to hear that its just another 160 from tvs(sigh...)...yes the news is exciting but does not very much appeal to some(like me)..

I hope that TVS certainly steps up a little bit more into the 200+cc segment ...that would really give us more choices to look upon other than the conventional P220's and the ZMA's....
Anyways, the Apache series has certainly rejuvenated the TVS biking segment... it just gets better each time..

Right said. They need to work on the refinement part in their motor. Most of the prospective buyers (who take an informed decision) are put off by the vibes from the engine.

One of the reasons I guess is the amount of the times they have started and canned things midway.... I know people who have been exposed to a bigger mill on the RTR 160 FI body... but nothing saw daylight.

People have been dissapointed time and again from past couple of years.

Back in the year 2005, Mr. Venu Srinivasan himself declared that they are working on a 180cc cruiser.

exactly what i meant..something concrete from the company will surely give that "kick" to the buzz

That's not the end to tale of woes by TVS.
I remember(I read it in OD),a year or might be two,TVS said that they are looking at the 200cc market..They never explained what 'looking' meant in their code of words.

The Kits add more despondency to RTR owners. They showed it at the Auto Expo,2010 but no announcements of when they are going to be launched??..Also,the kits made first appearance in the previous expo of 2008.And since then we are waiting like mad!

So,either TVS boasts too much or they are still busy thinking of what better could be done to outperform others.

May this Hyper-Edge thing come out true..
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

                              it will eventually someday!
the problem is the time moves very slowly in the TVS world! and most of the time they end up chasing the competition, rather than making a benchmark for the competition to catch on to! even if the Hyper - Edge is true, it will take time to reach the end customer and by that time hyper - edge will have hyper - competition!

TVS has a good racing background but it does not use its experiences and capabilities to the maximum! i hope TVS stops walking the footprints of others and start making something innovative.
