found this on yamaha site a week ago. The features of the ss125 is even more humourus. I expected more from yamaha but it dissapointed me again. Its copying copying the hero honda. But it should copy bajaj or tvs if it wants to generate a very good no.s

looks great. but they should bring in 4 valves tech with more fuel efficinecy and lower /mid range grunt. like the new vision at yamaha .

Yes. Atleast one variant of Gladiator can have 4 valves for a change. Others can retain 2 valves for low purchasing cost.

SS125 is a copy cat of Gladiator, not even one difference in Specs Sheet.

And that 1670 V-Twin joke was great! Someone added the V-Max info at the wrong place!

I like SS 125 & in my opinion its the best bike in its category when compared to Shine, Glamour ,discover 150 or Flame. But one bike i m desperately waiting from Yamaha's stable is Gladiator 165 concept,i think can do wonders with its styling as its styling is more suitable to indian's taste when compared to FZ & this is the reason why FZ despite being the best 150 CC is still behind Pulsar in terms of sale.

It is the Gladiator, so why look for differences in specs!

Discover 150 is a different category! You referring to Discoves 125/135?

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

                          Which category?

                          >> Is it according to price?
                          >> Is it according to power/engine cc?

Wish the market was so simple to predict and crack.

Even before the RS/SS it was the Gladiator Type J.A (John Abraham) and Graffiti.
Even before that it was the Gladiator 125
Even before that it was the "Fazer" [remember the "twin bug eyed", Fazer]

The 125 cc engine intially made its debut as YBX and YD125 way back in 1998.

winning the hearts of the masses, no other way in India other than following the leader , copy his actions. Tech, performance etc.. of nobody cares. less cost, stickers and fuel economy wins.
