I think it is a brilliant deal. This is sort of like the pulsar was way back when it was launched. Anyone who chose Pulsar over CBZ is a potential target, yours truly included. Though am sure 650R is a bit more established than Pulsar was. Ofcourse it will not match the quality of the japs, which does not match amongst the japs also i.e a kwacker is a bit different from Honda, but then that is the money you save. Also remember Ducati a few years ago was not at par, in terms of quality, with the japs and still was priced above them.

I think this is the bike that is going to be a step through before you buy a litre class bike. And frankly i don't see any competition. The kwacker 650 has its own flaws and above all it won't match comet on price.
so good summer ahead so to say.

can someone pinch me up, its look like i am dreaming.

How is possible for Hyosung to brought the naked bike at so little price?

Guys, Did Bajaj learn "The Great Theory of Parts Sharing" from Hyosung, or is it vice versa?

Anyways, its a nice news that there will be an alternative... This could save some 30-50k rupees in the final price.

One question guys- Does the GT650 have a similar sporty riding position as the GT650R?

Both the bikes share everything the same, the Specification, riding position and the only difference is the Fairing..

not true actually. the GT650R comes with clipons... the GT650 doesn't!

so while the engine specs are identical... the riding positions on both bikes are NOT the same.

the GT650 has more of an upright riding position when compared to the GT650R.

Thanks for correcting me on the 1st part. But I doubt on the riding position part.

most assuredly... the riding position of the GT650R is "sportier"

i have a friend in Oz who test rode both bikes before buying the GT650R.

What are the chances for GT250R making it way to india ??

                    YouTube - Hyosung GT250R

The Hyosung GT250R is a sporty machine suitable for those on a budget, learners and anyone wanting an easy to ride, good looking, fun machine.

Their review say that GT250R is poorly built.. will fall apart..(3:55)

I have nothing against Hyosung..but would like to share it....

if you can ride Bajaj and HH, you can easily ride Hyosung. In a show in UK, I actually tried to flex the body of fairing panel of 650R away from the eyes of the sales associate knowing that this bike will hit India soon. It has decent build quality and should be ok with a little care in your garage.

Not really. Abroad these bikes would cater to different audiences but here with such a limited choice and with a much smaller audience, things are different. While bikes like the Monster & the R6 do have their own appeal and are well established, the price difference between a naked Hyosung 650 & these bikes should prove to be a difference maker. We Indians are notorious for falling for products for which we perceive a far greater value than a more upmarket and hence expensive brand for equivalent products. It all will depend on how good a service network Hyosung can set up.
