Maruti to help Suzuki Motorcycles in India

Suzuki entered the 2-wheeler space in a joint venture with TVS, parting ways almost 12 years back. The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer has quite a lot of products in its portfolio but many of them are not suited to India. With Maruti helping Suzuki now, we can expect the company to offer more products which are priced very aggressively, the same mantra that makes Maruti such a success in the highly competitive and price sensitive Indian car market. Suzuki will launch the GW250 Inazuma later this year and has already shot the advertisement (in Goa)

Its good that Suzuki will be helped by maruti...but how can suzuki boost their sales is a tough question for them...I am eagerly Waiting for Inazuma and its review.

I hope Maruti lends a few marketing professionals to create a hype using advertisement and other activities about Suzuki bikes. Suzuki produces excellent bikes, but they lack severely in brand visibility.

I think It'd be real good to have a unified Suzuki Bikes & Cars Dealership (No doubt, aided by Maruti's nation-wide infrastructre) and a similar unified service network for cars and bikes together. Looking at Maruti's level of penetration even in rural and small towns, Suzuki can hit the nail perfectly on the head in improving their pathetic sales/service network.

Maruti will help suzuki two-wheelers.. good, so if you go to a maruti showroom next time you may see a suzuki bike parked there.. is it like that..??
