*Now don't all start off with these are completely different and blah blah blah! Both are 25 bhp and both are street nakeds.*
I'm looking forward to its launch in India and personally I love it, but I seriously doubt it would happen. Indians love faired bikes and naked bikes HAVE to be sold at lower margins. If it comes with some clothes on the same engine and frame I think it could sell.

And suzuki does not seem interested in selling bikes above 150cc commuter and below 1000cc superbikes in India. If they are, they should launch V-Storm 650 ABS and Inazuma 250 and GSX-R600 in India and perhaps also a GSX-R150 and a GSX-R250

Regarding the GSXR150 and GSXR250.........seems very optimistic.

Since these bikes have to be developed from scratch and Suzuki do not need them for any market.

Suzuki has plans to make Inazuma 250 a global bike, just like the CBR250R is to Honda. While for a GSXR150R for India, Suzuki is well off without it, because, Suzuki already sells CBR150R's competition in form of Raider 150 cc Underbone bike in all the oriental countries and it do not need such a bike for European economies, since it offers 125cc cruisers over there.
So for Indian context, where the CBR150R has already have competition from a naked bike Duke200 in its price range- Suzuki won't be investing newly for the RD in such a bike any time sooner, since this market is already saturated. They would be better off, if they can assemble the bikes like Gladius or GSXR750 or GSR750 locally and they are already doing good by selling Busas and Bandits in numbers.

However, the Inazuma 250 would be here, after its Global launch........Suzuki is looking for a festive season I guess.

From all the small sneak peak performance figures and videos and what the European launch of the bike claimed with regards to weight reduction .............weight, seemed to have little effects.

You can account the GS150R for example, it is one of the best SOHC air-cooled 150cc power commuter in the market...........but the heaviest among them too, at 149kgs it is as heavy as a Karizma, yet does things better than a CBZ Extreme or the CB Unicorn itself.

        • Actually this bike sounds like a shame to B-King.
And this scale model looks ordinary compared to bikes like Duke 200.

Another under powered heavy twin after hyosung GT 250.

          • Good specs, decent feature set, tacky looks but that parallel twin...ah!
Let's hope it lands here before the world ends and with fit n finish better than the CBR250. I prefer a naked twin to a faired single anyday.

Ya Yamaha will launch a 250 Based on costumer request.

and good seating Ergonomics for long rides.
              With a big fuel tank.
Trerne 250 with 6 speed gear box will be perfect.
              And nothing less than 22BHP.
              I personally don't Like the ergonomics of R15 V X.0

Respected Jun Makata This is my Humble request.

              • I don't know why everyone expect every 250cc twin has to be like a Ninja 250r............and also I do not know why every company other than Kawasaki do not want to make a 250cc bike like the Ninja 250r.

Even Yamaha might just make a DOHC single cylinder FZ250 for India, since CBR250R sells more than Ninja 250r here and Yamaha has a 250cc for all other markets.

However, if Yamaha really wants to challenge Ninja world over, it has to come up with a Vtwin which would pack 300cc by putting two R15 chambers in a V configuration...........something on lines of a RD350.

As far as Inazuma is concerned, Suzuki has only one rival in sight for all nations..........the CBR250R, where it will really be a worthy competitor.

You didnt get my question. I was asking what rivals are they referring to (in that link posted in the previous page) when they said "Inazuma offers 14.4kmpl more than the other 250 Rivals"

So when they claimed 30.48 for the inazuma that would mean the rival 250s are offering 16.08 kmpl. So what 250 cc bike in the market today averages 16kmpl that they claim 14.4 over rivals?

                        • ^^ the article says it will be priced at par with CBR250 non-ABS.
with less power, less top-end, commuter like design, i don't think it will sell in india.

                          looks matter. ...a lot.

and in india, a 250 CC bike is not a commuter bike....

Looks like the seat is a fair bit lower on this one that in the GS150. Might be less comfortable on long rides.
