A 750 cc V-twin at 4 lakhs.
Delicious.
Hope RE makes them in India.

Parallel twin is kinda disappointing, I dunno the logic behind RE working on a parallel twin, I thought the V-Twins are suppose to be more torquey? Experts please chip in.

I'm all for Parallel twin, especially when its in this country, otherwise it has to be V-Twin liquid cooled. What's wrong with a parallel twin? When ppl can welcome Triumph Bonneville, why not RE's parallel twin engine? But the most important criteria being...
1. Quality, quality & quality has to improve
2. I can understand waiting period to deliver the motorcycle, but definitely NO waiting period even to get it serviced
3. Should produce atleast 40 bhp & should be RELIABLE
PS - I'm loving competition

Does the parallel provide any advantages when compared to the V?Originally posted by aargee View PostI'm all for Parallel twin, especially when its in this country, otherwise it has to be V-Twin liquid cooled. I dont understand what RE was doing all this time... twiddling their thumbs?
Now that the big ones are here, they have woken up to retain a piece of the cake. But by the time their conceptualization becomes reality they would have lost some business to competitors.... hope they wake up sooner before they are left with the crust.
IMO they are still looking at the response to these bikes and the demand... and only after they see a sizeable chunk will they then will go ahead with the production of these bikes.
I dont mean to be rude or hurt any RE lovers but India was starved of these bikes and only when the imported ones enter, do these guys wake up from hibernation. Frustrating !!!
I mean you cant expect these to sell like the splendors or the flatina's (
) but at least the bikes will sell to the serious buyers... and thats a matter of pride to compete with the big ones... who knows maybe even export them to those countries.

[QUOTE=aargee;569668]Oh!!! is it? Is that the reason RE has over 6+ months of waiting period to deliver a C5?
Doesnt necessarily mean it is a good bike. Bajaj Chetak used to be sold in black few decades back.
Just because there was no competition in the segment where it trades it enjoyed the demand. A company that produces hardly 5000 units a month does not tell much..................

I just hope that RE sorts out manufacturing capacity constraints and is ready to deliver Loaded Balls to the videshi competition..
