I'm left with mixed feelings & not sure where this is leading!!!

        Pros
        - Good for HH & can give a VERY SERIOUS competition to the monopoly Avenger, especially at this time when Hero & Honda has said Bye

        Cons
        - When both Hero & Honda has parted ways, why's Honda sharing the engine with Hero group? Does this mean, that, the parting ways are simply an eye wash?
        - Puts Hero's decisions/statements to raise brows

This is my take. With this so called new product, they might be able to generate more volumes and bring down the prices, but I highly doubt Honda giving Hero a brand new engine. The possibility I would say is less than 1%.

Makes a damn good business deal for Honda. Honda havent sold a motorcycle in India on their own which has been a runaway success and being a conservative Japanese organization, they are bound to be skeptical of the CBR's success. This way, they ensure there is a steady source of revenue coming in + bringing down costs, etc.

How about a cruiser with the good old ZMA/ZMR engine? Seems a bit more likely.

                  +1

Even i think ZMA's engine can be brought in the cruiser form as it's seems feasible both from engineering as well as business point of view.

I have not read anywhere that Honda will stop giving technology after the contract ends in 2014. I have read that there will be a new agreement with new terms.

It is very possible that Honda might give 250cc engine to Hero Honda. A cruiser and a sports bike are not competitors. I am really hoping for the 250cc cruiser. Its a great move if HH does this.

will it be a twin or a single?? or a chassis design using the zma engine?? Knowing HH, they might do the latter, and then spend extensively on marketing it and putting jazzy stickers on it..
