Add to that the beautiful Honda Fury...

If someone argues saying its a chopper & not cruiser, then have a look at the beautiful Honda Interstate...

How about Hyosung ST7? Its a liquid cooled too. I strongly prefer a liquid cooled engine, especially in our country.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

If this is true and the cruiser does come out, I hope HH won't do a garish sticker job and call it some wierd name like Pleasure or Sensation or something like that!"I set out running but I take my time, a friend of the devil is a friend of mine. If I get home before day light, just might get some sleep tonight" - The Grateful Dead.

Oh, it will.. what's the point of Honda going separate and giving technology to Hero. The whole idea is to strangle Hero and grab the maximum possible share on their own. By the way.. Honda agreed for Hero using the existing engines till 2014.. that means.. Hero will get nothing from Honda after 2014.. they will not even give the engine to Splendor.Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostI have not read anywhere that Honda will stop giving technology after the contract ends in 2014. I have read that there will be a new agreement with new terms.
It is very possible that Honda might give 250cc engine to Hero Honda. A cruiser and a sports bike are not competitors. I am really hoping for the 250cc cruiser. Its a great move if HH does this.
Hero is on their own after 2014..
At the max.. Honda might agree for Hero using same engine line-up, which they are using now (but they can't make any changes to engines, if that's the case) though with more royalty & higher license fee!! courtesy Inflation

The point will be decided by Honda and Hero and not by us. The technical collaboration ends in 2014 and not now, there is still 4 years left and it is well possible that Hero gets some good engines from Honda by 2014. And, as you pointed out, they may use existing engine line-up as of 2014. There will not be end to Hero so easily.Originally posted by vrugonnab View PostOh, it will.. what's the point of Honda going separate and giving technology to Hero. Imagine a single cylinder of CBR 250 covered in fairing (lol fairing on a cruiser) that has (trade mark of HH)stickers of twin cylinder on either side
. Man I'm in full Lol!!!

@satishg - if they bring that 250 twin here.. its gonna be rocking.. but knowing HH, i doubt they would be doing that..

The thread is started by Sunny, so I will take this news seriously !!
Seperation is a story and business is another ball game...to get maximum benefit from split-up Honda has to ensure smooth transition as the cash they get will be from stock value/stake sale, any let down in stock value means less cash for Honda !!Originally posted by anmol_1990 View PostA cruiser from hero honda, now that's some news. but since both companies are separating what's the scope?
So the deal is going through like hot knife through butter, and Honda will listen up to Hero's demands but at a price like higher loyalty etc etc.
It'll be good at the end to see Hero giving the best to consumers like they did all these 27 years !!

The Avenger's short stroke engine isnt anyway suited for a cruiser! You cant just plonk in the Honda mill on a cruiser chasis without tuning it for low end torque and that will chip out the top speed somewhat. Cruisers are never meant for speed runs anyway.Originally posted by raja_roadster View PostWish unlike BAL HH doesn't just detune the cbr250 engine and tell us(bikerz)its tuned to be a cruiser as they(bajaj)made avy with the detuned 220 pulsy engine..tear the map and shoot the sign

Bad roads and sky high speed breakers, plus water flooded streets in Rainy seasons forces Indian buyers to stay away from Cruisers..Originally posted by raja_roadster View PostYeah agree with you dark side but still cruisers are always torquey the stupid bajaj people decreased the torque of avy 220 compared to pulsy220 which was a blunder hope HH does it the right way ; Shame the Cruiser line up in a country with this much bikers is just one or two bikes
Don't Honk Unnecessarily
