apparently he was riding a MT01 without helmet on the airport flyover.....his family of wife and two kids were following him in their car to have lunch at novotel, when a DCM van hit him.

how do the words MT 01 and without helmet sound like?
that too on someone who must be aware of the pros of wearing a helmet, but then people might not recognize the great actor

        *sorry for being cynical,
        RIP Kota Sriniwas

Time and again the importance of helmet is stressed but is forgotten in a day or two after a demise. Police too do their part in harassing the persons for money if they are not wearing a helmet. Never seen a policeman genuinely advise a person to wear a helmet. How on earth no policeman noticed this actor riding without a helmet and alert the traffic police? The MT 01/CBR get noticed in no time in India and he should have been stopped for his and others safety. Now the thing is that even after the real offender is gone and might rest in peace like we wish he should there will be his family (specially the spouse) who will keep dying for the rest of their lives. xBHP has stressed this so much in the past but I think we can move one step further and try educating persons by means other then just online forums.

I'm sure now the Govt will wake up to make people wear helmet mandatorily in AP, atleast for sometime.

PS - Unfortunately, only such incidents becomes an attention to Govt while common man's death are counted for statistics.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

The Truck Drivers are responsible for most of these accidents they are totaly reckless once should stay as far away from them so are some people in cars, Helmets will save lives in case of falls and skids but in case of accidents involving heavy vehicles and cars they will not help much.
A real unfortunate incident but things will not change much.

Though I feel sorry for the loss of life, I feel it is stupidity to go at higher speeds on city linked roads. The Outer Ring road is still under construction around Hyderabad and there are many junctions to it without proper sign boards. Doing high speeds at those junctions is suicidal. You just cannot blame the lorry for entering the ORR at junction. They would not expect a bike to come at 200 kmph.

Another issue is, anybody who gets a two-wheeler license in Indian can ride a superbike. A lot of maturity and riding experience is needed for one to handle a superbike.

I feel speeds above 120 kmph on a bike are not safe on Indian roads.

All, there is a helmet at the accident spot and the rider has been riding with helmet.

                        Here are the pics

Kota Srinivas Rao is one of my favorite actor (You can see him film SARKAR and numerous telugu films known for his versatile roles), its heartning to see such a man cry due to loss of his Son.

As Ravi said...He was wearing helmet, and no one know what caused accident. So lets not get into speculations over here. The construction phace of ORR does not have any restrictions as of now on 2 wheelrs or etc!

                          RIP!

Yesterday, I rode on ORR. There is a rule that does not allow motorbikes on ORR. I have seen lot of construction without proper sign boards. At places, you will get confused where to go and when a junction comes. I am sure, the rider might have traveled on those roads many times; he should have been careful. I still say higher speeds are suicidal on our roads.

                              May his soul RIP.

Can't think about the dilemma of his wife and kids (who were following him on their car).
All men dream, but not equally. Those that dream at night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act upon their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible. - T.
