Totally disagree on that.. The numbers will normalize soon. Sales dont work up this way. Anticipation and excitement leads to bookings, but that doesnt ensure continuous sales. I believe 1500 bikes per month is a more realistic number, and i strongly believe its a very good number considering the price.

PS- people i know you all are experienced in biking sector, but before analyzing please realize that only XBhp is not riding bikes in India. When you look at the market as a whole, its different.

30000 is indeed a too optimistic a figure for Honda. Even if they sell around 10000 units that would be INSANE for a bike costing over 1.5 lakhs in India!!

I just happen to read one small deterrent factor for Honda CBR 250 sales.

You need to pay 50% of the Ex-showroom cost as down payment to own the CBR 250R.

I personally dont like this strategy and also dont understand the reason for this. If I had 90k in my pocket, first of all, I wont spend it on down payment of a 2 wheeler and secondly, if I had 90k in my pocket, then I would wait for few more months to make it 1.5 and buy it in cash.

I could sound strange, but I did not like this idea.

30,00 in the first few months is a pandemic figure. Very likely this will happen. Honda, as always, has been brilliant in bringing this steed out of their factory to grab the tag of 'largest manufacturer' yet again.
Riding is a way of life. Sometimes, it might also be a way of giving life. So Ride safe. In both contexts.

Guys, the 30,000 figure must be worldwide not India only.

You got to see a thing in flesh, sit on it or test ride it before you can hand over your cash for a long term bike. Just think- will you marry a girl just by seeing her photo? I definitely won't. Same with many other people across the nation...

Although, whether it would be 20,000 units or 30,000, is very difficult to say right now.

well said... even I am waiting with the same attitude...!

However given the target set by Honda, we expect the company to hike its production accordingly and thus eliminate any waiting period for the CBR250R. If Honda manage to sell a good number of CBR250Rs, we can expect more players to jump into the 250cc performance segment
