  • Ducati Bangalore Showroom : COVERED IN DETAIL! LOTS OF PICS!

I was lucky to be present at the pre launch party of Ducati Bangalore Showroom and unveiling of the fantastic Diavel. The party started at 8 PM at the 16th floor SkyBar in UB City, Bangalore. A fantastic and stunning venue overlooking the sprawling Bangalore city which looked a bed of jewels in the night. It was chilly and windy, a combination to be found only in a few places in South of India in Summer. Bangalore had always found a fan in me for it's pleasant weather.

Mr.Mirko Bordiga, CEO Ducati AP and Mr.Ashish Chordia (Director, Precision Motors, India) were also present.

A special thanks to n_aditya for finding friends in us and discussing some interesting stuff over dinner!

    India 20th June, 2011
Spectacular Ducati Diavel finally unveiled for India

Ducati DIAVEL, the latest addition to DUCATI’s product range was unveiled in
Bengaluru on 20th June, 2011 for India.

Commencing with a Press Conference held at the new Ducati Showroom in
Bengaluru, members of the media enjoyed direct contact with Mr. Mirko Bordiga,
CEO, DUCATI Asia Pacific, Mr. Ashish Chordia, CEO, DUCATI India and Mr. Allum
    Preetham, Director, DUCATI Bengaluru.

“The Diavel is, without any doubt, the most exciting innovation in the Ducati 2011 line
because it represents a new concept of motorcycle,” declared Mr. Mirko Bordiga,
    CEO DUCATI Asia Pacific. “It is a naked bike because it is essential, light and agile;
a cruiser because it is imposing and also comfortable with a passenger; and a sports
bike because it has a powerful heart, muscles, and levels of performance that take
    your breath away”

“Until now,” he continued, “no segment has ever captured these characteristics in
just one motorcycle. We are extremely satisfied with the Diavel, it represents the
very concept of sport and celebrates all that Ducati has achieved in recent years. If
the Multistrada 1200 represents the perfect synthesis between functionality and
performance, the Diavel creates a new interpretation of performance, this time
    combined with technology and design.”

For connoisseurs of technology, ABS, Ducati Traction Control and Ducati Riding
Modes deliver a confidence-inspiring sophistication while stunning looks, 162hp and
207kg (456lb) of authentic Ducati performance drives a comfortable new sport
lifestyle. Merging the worlds of power and style has been achieved with convincing
precision. A specially engineered 240 section rear tyre combined with famous Ducati
chassis technology serves up mind-blowing handling and lean angles, whether
carving through curves or just riding out for a night on the town.

Today the latest ground-breaking Ducati is available in two versions: The brand new
Diavel and the flagship Diavel Carbon with a character-forming mix of aesthetic and
performance components from carbon fibre bodywork to forged and specially
machined Marchesini wheels. Both the versions are available in India.

Good stuff this!! Crisp pics as ever.
After covering the launch of the HD showroom in B'lore, xBhp covers Ducati too.

Its been spoken around that the Ducati dealer (in B'lore) will sell the Hyosungs too. That true?
If yes, how long before the Hyosung wing is ready too?

    My views on the YZF-R15 V2.0: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/198...tml#post699240

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Had a talk with Aditya regarding the private party(going to happen in the night) in the morning.. He was appreciating 1198 SP which he had seen somewhere like anything, and now I know the reason.. This is one of the most beautiful bike I have seen in recent time.. ( Leave alone the MV agusta F4.)

                          Congratulations!

Congratulations to brothers of Bengaluru.....I must say that Ducati has put up an impressive show...

Btw...what happned to the Delhi/gurgaon showroom?wts the point of closing down at one place and opening at the other place........i was checking out the thread of Gurgaon showroom opening. The "kentucky Kid" was there at the opening. The CEOs speaks a lot about the seriousness in India and then they disappear. One of my friend was referring to one of his friend living in Nashik, that he had to wait for 7 months for even basic part of his Ducati. He also told me that Ducati Mumbai run by the Importer himself doesnt even have a workshop. Now that beats me....not having a workshop..
I wish all the best best to future Ducatisti and hope I would get to ride one someday
