Myself being a die hard fan of HONDA went to our Main Dealer in Kolkata for inquiring CBR250 on first week of January 2011.
The internal set up and staff really put me in a state of shock.

Every time we expect things to improve soon but almost a long time has passed and plenty of customers have shifted to other Products.

Come on HMSI, wake up before it is too late.

If Honda would have taken us half as seriously as they should have I am telling you with utmost certainty that the love this country has for that company they would have easily kicked Marutis butt and every 3 vehicles out of 5 (cars and bikes included) would definitely have been a Honda...

To those who have attitude... My middle finger salutes you...!

Right, I too know HMSI is a decade old company with low capacity, I also know their dealers are III class(most of them), I will never put my money into a Honda product until they show some respect for customers.

But why additional capacity expansion now ? Do we really know all facts why new plant is coming up now ? HMSI is india registered company and Honda has 100% stake in it, for Honda to expand they need to liquidate their stake and give it to Indian public, else govt feels by giving permission to HMSI they will pit major company against 'Desi' companies. Already Desi auto company may have clout in govt/policy making...this is the reason for delayed permissions to HMSI for expansion. Last year Japanese with large delegation urged the govt. to help expand japanese interest in India, they want some policies to go. India has given luke warm response to it by giving permission to HMSI II/III plant. If govt. can give such permissions to LG/Hyundai/Posco why not Honda (that's my question) ??

Best is ...HMSI should be listed in India and should go public and hand over atleast 51% stake into Public hands, then approvals will be easy and India will gain by HMSI business. HMSI will also stand to gain as public has highest respect in 'Honda' brand.

Above all HMSI should 'reform' into 'indian-ness' and learn from Maruti/Hero Honda etc etc in terms of customer focus.
