Not sure about other manufacturers, but in case of Bajaj bringin step thru is not as easy as making Boxer 150, coz, they have everything ready to make Boxer150. If they want to bring step thru, they have to go through the product cycle, which costs them a lot compared to Boxer 150, for which everything is already there. Take engine from disco 150.. tune it for boxer 150.. viola, you have a bike for rural folk.
