Wake up man. Its not 2003 whereby you can blame Pulsars in the matter of quality..

Owners don't exactly have much of a big problem. Its these keyboard warriors doing all the bashing...
Somebody please give this guy a Pulsar and send him to Himalayas... Then he'll know! And ask him which bikes are used in MTV Stuntmania...
Well, the 2011 CBR250R does seem to have many issues. So, we just need to ignore the Bajaj bashers.
Coming back to the topic, it is amazing, what Bajaj has achieved with in-house R&D. Hero might be getting the numbers thanks to its 100cc bikes but nobody can beat Bajaj for the sheer number of bikes it has launched. Pulsar has been launched with 6 variants (135,150,180,200,220FI,220) and has had an equal number of iterations till date.
Discover has had 6 variants as well (125,112,135,150,100,125) with the initial 125 being different from the current one.
All this in the span of less than a decade.
Just hoping Bajaj keeps going ahead and we'll not have to look at the Japs as the benchmark for quality.

Hero should stop spending on those stupid music albums and make proper ads ....(better they dont make any, they are insulting, what you call ads)
Hats off to Bajaj, with just 3 products in market(pulsar, discover, avanger),they are standing right on the neck of Hero....

Hearty congrats to Bajaj on this award.

The rationale behind the constant criticism of BAL is in my opinion unfounded as i have a pulsar 220 Dtsi since Jan 2010 and frankly speaking there has been no major problem and the bike has always been giving flawless performance and similarly other friends who have Bajaj, including an old Caliber, have not been even slightly disappointed.

It looks like someone must have picked up this point of Bajaj bike being unreliable some ages ago and quite a few Bajaj "haters" have been been pointlessly harping onto this issue without even having actually owned BAL bikes.

Any i know this is not the best place to post this, but continuing with what was being discussed added my comments.

            Kudos to Bajaj

Bajaj were the only brand which first ever promoted a city commuter Pulsar as performence machine ..and were the first to produce an add showing a bike with front wheel of the ground!!! Really that only promotion, gave buds to performer a stunter in many of the ordinary Indian commuters. Either recall Hodibaba add or Wind add, or any of there including platina also ...there adds are also "Distinctly Ahead" as there bikes are..!!!

Hats off to Bajaj!! I am so proud of it.

7+ years of owning my Pulsar, it has never let me down or had issues. Now that its old, I spend on changing the sprockets and disc plates etc.. something un-avoidable.

There has not been a single complaint I have about my bike and i love it more than my GT. Good to see that the brand has emerged so much and all credits to Bajaj for the efforts it has taken to keep it up.

I have also had bad experiences with BAL owning a Kristal, where the product was stopped and we struggled a lot to get even a brake cable and finally sold the bike for 10% of the price. May be Bajaj should start thinking about their existing customers before they decide something like discontinuing a product.

The "no single problem till date" is an exaggeration. Go through the ownership threads/help forum and there are posts/threads. Every bike, whether Indian or Japanese or would've had a minor niggle atleast once in its "years of running".

At times, people post about their problems, seeking for help and few days later would come up in some bashing thread and claim they have had no problems till date.

No one is saying there are no niggles and tiny issues which are easily solved and don't recur... And yes regular maintenance is required too... What we are talking about is there are no such huge unsolvable issues these bashers keep harping about non-stop all the time... Clear enough...?

On the other hand Hero ads are utterly un inspiring (no one want to take inspiration for reclaiming his cap from storm etc.)
and on top of this they keep airing those ads constantly.

If these (bold) nos. are real, Bajaj already overtook Hero and that to with good margin. As its not the no of vehicle produced is everything to go by. Company with costlier product may sell less but still will be better...
