BMW F800R/GS and F650GS seemed so ideal for Indian conditions in terms of its size becoz GS1250 is huge .... it seems like might be a handful in traffic fully loaded.

If the new rules are implemented, what might be the new prices compared to what one pays now for few of the existing imports.Any idea ?

Triumph : At the Frankfurt IAA Motorshow, the whole line up was there (also BMW), and I personally liked the Street triple(you will be 12 all over again) - Bonneville(Feel like God! awesome) - Thruxton (ubercool). Speed triple was aggressive like the K1300R so didnt like it that much as it aint my pref... Sad that the later two are available in 865cc engines so the new rule wont apple to these if it is true in the first place...... But all Triumphs/BMWs are interesting none the less.

Entering Indian market with the Rocket first hmmm....

I have changed my mind after swinging a leg over the F800GS recently - was too tall for me. The F800R, however, seems more manageable.

The 2012 sun yellow F650GS is just what India needs, not wants.

Have been seeing an F650GS in the flesh from last 2 days. This is definitely one of the bike that should come to our shores, and I hope it is affordable enough for folks like me.
We need 400cc to 800cc bikes more than ever!!

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

It also seems certain now that the F650GS is headed to India by Dec end/Jan. Got this info from a long time BMW dealer up north. Pricing not confirmed though.

Not the XC, but the regular Tiger 800, yes. This is because of the low seat height and tubeless tyres.

Do you have any inside dope on the launches, Nikhil?

the e-mail hardly indicates any soon to be launched.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
                        #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

But for indian road conditions you could end up in a hospital you cant hit a speed of above 200km in a indian road condition
