Lol!!! I know how much BMTC's are maintained, not that I'm new to BLR!!!
Whoever talked about daily pass? And with daily pass I cannot courier it back to home after reaching the destination for my Wife & kids to reach. I hope BMTC still follows one person one pass!!!

wife, kids, courier, shirt... lol, where is this discussion going

if public transport is being discussed, why not consider local trains also

guys, bottom line is total amount of tax WILL NOT REDUCE.

and we may have to pay more to get the same bike. and still on-road price will vary statewise.

Any updates? There was a meeting on Feb 14 or 15 by TDC to take it further.

You will realize you have crossed the KA border just by looking at the condition of the road. You never need roadsigns to tell you that you're in KL
Ye its a sad irony that we pay highest tax and still suffer worst roads, this is a classic case of corruption...
Need not go till KL (It's far from BLR) just travel towards TN or AP (which are ~30 & 100km respectively), you'll come to know you are out of KA (thank god these states are so near to BLR at least some times we can enjoy good roads ;-))

(fuel is more expensive here in b`lore).
            +1
BMTC indeed is the best city bus service in India.
But still they need to increase the fleet size for which again BLR need more roads, in which Bangalore is at the bottom of the list :-(...
            Metro will help a lot...

Compared to other city bus services BMTC is far better, with largest volvo fleet, responsive call center, route maps on google with bus no, airport service with Wifi and personal entertainment system, well behaving drivers (at least in volvo) and much more... It's true they need even bigger fleet size, but still its good for commuting...
And no one said whole Bangalore can travel on same pass. Of course it's non transferable. But @ 90/day for a AC bus, what more you want. (it may be a bit costly, but then every thing in Blr is costly)...
