HEllo? Excuse Me? But did i just read that right? I thought Honda has to provide all the aids Hero needs till 2014?
All their products right now are ex(or soon to be ex) Honda models. So i dont see how Hero is powering without Honda there. Or does it mean "Without the HOnda badge"?Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.Comment

it does'nt matter from where they are sourcing technology...still hero is hero of two wheeler segment....infact we should say that hero is good in marketing and after sales services...that is why they are at top....like maruti suzuki's swift is topper in its segment, strange part is it runs on same engine fiat 1.3 litre diesel engine on which fiat punto runs incidently which is at the bottom of sales chart in premium hatchback segment....Originally posted by Nithesh View Postsigpic

No, Honda does not have to provide all the aids to Hero till 2014. Yes we know even the new launches are based on Honda
Back to the story. The way honda is going Bajaj indeed has to worry. The comparison in the article seemed like Hondas sales in India vs Bajajs sales figures (which the article then goes on to say that a chunk of it is the exports)
But does BAL really have to worry?

It has a distribuition network way bigger than Honda
It has two powerful brands working for them

As far as the difference in Torque is concerned, probably its normal or some tuning might have done it. I can see that its 9 NM torque @ 5500 rpm for Activa. Somewhere else its written 8.8 NM for Activa.
Guys, please understand that Minor tuning changes are not that tough for any company. Even CBZ Xtreme is vastly different from Unicorn. And, Hunk is also different from CBZ-X in terms of lower gearing.
