  • One thing which i did not like on Discover 125 ST was that the panels are not flush fit type. there was lot of gap where central panel meets the tank. Even the old generation pulsar panels had a nice fitting. Also the gauge of the plastic material seemed to be very low. When i touched it with little pressure, it was bending freely.

Its just a minor issue and i think bajaj should sort it out soon. They have done a good job onthe entire bike and dont want such minor isssues to be left out. Others can add their observation too on this part.

For me the seat was comfortable and engine was very smooth. Cannot say about the ride as i could not drive the vehicle out of the dealer yard as test rides were yet to begin.

I had a avery short time with the bike but was impressed with it. As payend mentioned it could have come with led tail lamps and electronic display as this product is pitted in premier segment.

I would like to see the vehicle in bright colours like 200NS colours. The red was bright and outstanding so want to see some other bright colours too. But only grouse i had was with plastic center panel.

        • Hi Friends,

Today I have checked the price of this bike in Hyderabad and its 64,000 on road . The showroom guys told me that from 14th of this month Bajaj bikes prices has been increased.

The bike is really bigger than its older siblings (its even bigger than Pulsar 135 and I feel by size it matches to 80% of Plulsar 150). I feel this bike is not meaner and leaner like P135 / Twister, its for big guys.

I think i should wait till the next version P135 release..

          Below are the few pics..

          Thanks

            HI XBHPians,

Today i had the opportunity to TestRide the bike but for a very small distance since the Bike is not yet registered.
The dealer allowed me to take the bike for a very short distance only.

            Observations:

I felt the Disk brake is not up to the mark. I wouldn't have crossed 40KMPH. At this speed applying the disk brake should have stopped instantly. But he bike dragged on before coming to stop.
Gear shifting was not bad. Pick up was also ok.
The bike is very new at 8Km on the odo hence i think after run-in period it would feel much better.
Anyways, planning to go for a proper TestRide by next or so to get a good feel of the bike. Will update you guys once i do that.

OTR price in Chennai -- 63627 Rupees
            Happy riding...

About the bit in bold. Brand new brake pads need 80-100 km to set in properly. Till then you might feel that the braking is not up to the mark. Happens every time you change to new brake pads.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Yeah that could have been the reason.
I currently own a FZ which made me feel worse about 125ST braking.
Will try to TestRide the bike which has crossed atleast 1000KM to get a real feel of the bike.
                Thanks for the info

Apart from being brand new, the disc brake of ST is a bit smaller at 200mm. If you have been used to FZ which has I guess 240mm discs you would feel some difference ofcourse.

It has lesser torque and slightly lesser BHP but also lesser weight and much lesser price compared to CB Unicorn. On the saddle, the "feel" is similar as well due to identical seat sizes and almost identical height. But unicorn feels heavier, which may be a good thing or a bad thing.

                          • & what about Discover 150cc & Pulsar 135cc ?? 3 bikes producing almost same power make it quite confusing for the buyer !!!
