And I thought,it only happens at my place....
the "Hero and Honda bikes doesnt need a TD" is a common episode every where. When I asked for a TD once(I said,I will buy only if I like it),they said,"If you dont buy, there are many who will. But giving you one for TD is impossible". I was like . Do i look that cheap??(& I had gone to the showroom in a car). But I was polite enough just to say "and some say, custumers as god", turned back and return home.
Here too the Bajaj, TVS and Yamaha service are top notch(atleast after you shoot a mail).thats called 'Management'.The dealers should be scared of the manufacturers. And YES,i mean it "Scared".

Just my thoughts on the case not replying to anyone in person.

Everybody seems to be blaming the dealers.
Yes they have a large number to handle and all but so where splendors, pulsars, cbz etc. Have you seen so many issues in them.

But lets face it Honda is making faulty vehicles and cant really be trusted.
That is the reasons dealers are being overwhelmed.

I have a unicorn and luckily for me when i bought it Honda was just gearing up so atleast the bike was in good condition.
Service center's sucked from the start. but you can go to local service guys if you got the rapport made wisely.

I myself was considering the CBR 250 but yet to find a completely happy customer. Niggles from the start are niggles forever. Corrected or not your bike was faultily manufactured which is just not done.

Earlier everybody praised my choice of Honda. Now every body has a doubt in their mind when thinking about Honda. They seem to be only here to make money no reputation.

Where's the peace of mind with a Honda ?

          I second that thought.

They are trying to become no:1 manufactures in India. But even the new lots of unicorn are having problems! Two new uni's from my neighborhood are facing engine problems. Dunno if its major/minor, but still not solved by the 'authorized' service centers!

And i rode my tvs flame to the showroom...and finally when they attended me askd me if i could afford a cbr150 since i own a flame....i did abuse them for that, exchanged bad abusive words and left the showroom angrily and banged hard on their gate with my helmet...i wont go to that showroom ever... The same day i went to ktm for some details and man...i was impressed...they came rushing, was polite, gave me a bottle of 7up, gave explanations about the bike even after i told them that i wont buy it...just came to have a look and a test drive to see how good it is... The girl even offered me 25k for my bike...she was just casually talking to me bout the bike, the finance schemes, about maintenance and all... Then i told her about what i went through in the honda showroom and evryone started laughing... Then a guy from the counter told that sir we already had several costomers who booked the duke after having bad experience with honda...then i took a test ride and when i was leaving, the girl gave her cell number and told to contact her if i am ever interested in the bike and she'll make sure so that i get it early... Now coming to topic..i dont care about honda, yamaha, or bajaj or ktm...only thing i care is how i am treated for being their premium costomer....and in this department bajaj is the best..they are very focused on aftersales and spares. Even yamaha is very gud...bt honda doesn't care about their customers...another company with poor aftersales and spares issue is tvs..atleast in kolkata...the poorest service... My friend's dad has a eterno. Earlier he got gud service but now its opposite. Even brake lever is not available for more than a month...
lol even though you mentioned you werent interested in bike she offered her no wonder what she would offer if you had bought one.lol this is bajaj distinctly ahead

if you are a CBR1000RR owner u r king and if you buy CBR25oR then you are a normal customer and u buy Activa you are cheap customer. i wish Yamaha released a 2win 250 i would happily sell my CBR and get that. but when it comes to engine reliability and engine quality Honda always have the upper hand and we are stuck with them

Hope to see a Yamaha soon....

We're in India boss, incentives for sales persons is higher with a costlier bike. Nuff said.

I'd go buy a Honda any day over a Yam. No offence guys, just find the Yam's ergonomics a little too racy, on Indian roads and for sustained riding Honda's perfect.. IMHO

Found the Honda dealer where i got the bike from a decent experience.

It is not about the company, but the dealers, who are sometime arrogant enough..
