Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.
Khardung La, Ladakh: The Army has rescued around 400 civilians trapped in landslides in Khardung La in Ladakh. Situated at 18, 380 feet (or 5602 metres), Khardung La is said to be the world's highest motorable mountain pass.
In a joint operation late last night, Army and police teams rescued the tourists stranded in 150 vehicles on a 10-kilometre stretch on Leh-Nubra road. 50 tourists in 15 vehicles are still said to be trapped and efforts are on to help them.
Among those rescued are women and children. Majority of them have been shifted to medical camps in Leh. 120 of them were administered oxygen by mobile medical vans.
Oh man. I hope everyone comes out unscathed. BTW there was this leh planner being planned by @icemang and co. I hope they are OK. Not sure with the dates that they were trying though
