yamaha ray spied
i saw a few yamaha rays bieng tested on the mehasana-ahemdabad highway. they were around 5 in nos. without any camouflage pointing to a release soon. The lines were crisp and sharp, something a guy wouldnt be shy of bieng seen on. but the frame would suit the fairer sex more. the colours, pink, maroon and striking blue r all flashy and do justice to the design. the mules were doing around 80-90 kmph with relative ease and points out to a strong engine. this is a superb comeback by yamaha and will see the competition heating up further.Tags: None

Who stops you from buying the Ray and having all the fun?Originally posted by payeng View PostOne question: "Why should GIRLS have all the Fun..??"

Jokes apart, I have to admit that Indian market in not an "Activa hi lelo!" market anymore...
Mahindra is also doing active research & development, as apparent from the recent Duro RZ.
Suzuki are also damn serious about this segment, although their USP should reach the masses better.
And Yamaha will be entering this segment soon too, with a seemingly nice product.
Although the segment might still be dominated by Honda as far as sales figures go, there are plenty of choices in the low capacity scooter segment, and that's a damn good thing for customers and their needs!---

But all the automatic scooters look alike, ride alike and feel alike. Maybe slim ones (Scooty Pep), slightly Fat ones (Aviator) and the ones in between (Activa, Dio, Access etc.). But there is not much variety.Originally posted by Samarth 619 View PostAlthough the segment might still be dominated by Honda as far as sales figures go, there are plenty of choices in the low capacity scooter segment, and that's a damn good thing for customers and their needs!

My 8 year old butter smooth Dio needs to be replaced now. Need something that all of my family members can ride easily. Was thinking of the new Dio only.In my opinion only Dio has best styling among the scooters. RAZOR SHARP. I love sharp looking Hondas. Don't want to sell my old Dio.
This Yamaha complicates it further. If it has R15 like quality, it will be a tough decision!

and hopefully some from activa also...Originally posted by Dinesh.P View PostGood to see a Yamaha product spied testing... Hope ray will eat up some market share from scooty and Dio

because there is actually not much fun for a biker in a 100 CC scoot, except that you can sit the way you want and carry a lot of groceries.Originally posted by payeng View PostOne question: "Why should GIRLS have all the Fun..??"
bang on....exactly my thoughts.Originally posted by payeng View Post

Many examples here. I ride my wife's Wego. Scooter with massive storage space is quite a practical thing. Also, it has got enough power in that category."HASTA LA VICTORIA, SIEMPRE !" - Chesigpic
