    Bajaj plans to roll out superbikes from KTM stable

    Motorcycle maker Bajaj Auto Ltd is planning to introduce more products from its step-down overseas subsidiary KTM Power Sports AG.

    Later, this year, 200 Duke was launched in India.

    I think the title is a bit misleading. it says "superbikes" but the body talks about creating space in the super sports category.

        Much expected. It's really evident from the recent statements that Bajaj (KTM) will come up with bikes within the 350 CC category soon. Although, it's a great news but I, personally would be very upset since I can't buy a bike within the next 1&1/2 yr & I really want to be one of the first owners to own a Duke 350 CC.

              desperately waiting for 300+ CC fully faired bike from either bajaj or KTM. i think we should be able to see test bikes on roads after say 6 months... just my guess.

                It's made in India but sent to Europe. It's not for the Indian Market only for export.

                      guys, we all now know that bajaj will be launching higher capacity bikes soon.
                      and we also know that bajaj is working on two seperate platforms- one for 125 to 200 cc and another for 250 and more cc. we also know that P200 NS has a pressed steel perimeter frame chasis.
                      i wanna discuss that the other platform bajaj is developing will also have a pressed steel perimeter frame chasis or a different type of chasis ? will it have a chasis similar to P200 NS just that it will be bigger or it will have a different chasis and if different, then what it could be ?

                      another thing i wanna discuss is will it follow the same pulsar evolved design or will it have an entirely different design philosophy?

                      anybody has got any ideas or insider information?

                        Bajaj is looking to create a space for itself in the segment.

                        Superbikes refer to high-end sports bikes.
                        Which KTM superbike is launched in India? Or they have started to call the Duke as a superbike?

                        Why are Bajaj ignoring Kawasaki superbikes?

                          Who knows, may be they have started testing it already(not faired though)

                            During the launch of 200 NS, officials said they have plans to build up on this platform till 700cc. SO I believe it will be a perimeter frame again with may be improved rigidity for higher capacity machines. Development of a new chassis( something in range of 200 NS's fame) takes effort. So building a new ladder frame next year will not make business sense. Otherwise We may have got a perimeter frame 5 years back! at least 2 years back

                              According to Indian conditions any bike >=600cc is called a superbike (except if RE comes with its bikes >600cc ofcourse :P)
