    And i think when R15 and FZ16 were launched.. john wasnt the ambassador. He was signed up later.
    Well John was first signed since the (pre r15/fz) Gladiator days and then he was dropped.. post the R15/FZ launch he was again signed.. which according to me wasn't needed. The R15 and FZ would have sold anyway.

      If the products are good, no one needs a brand or ambassador!!! most Honda motorcycles, entire Pulsars series (except Discover initially, but again that made hardly a difference) didn't have any brand ambassador, aren't they selling well? Duke 200? Not even ads I guess, isn't it selling well?

      I personally don't like brand ambassador concept as the money paid to them (just to stand, smile & show faces) is collected from customers. Instead I'd prefer a strong product that speaks for itself.
