      Now thats some good news at last.
      Advice is a form of nostalgia.
      Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

        Hero is behaving strange... If the news was indeed false, they could have denied it much earlier. Why so much time.

        There much be some element of truth in it.

          I think you have a point there, it might be that they sat with Honda and worked out some sorts of a deal to continue these models

            Completely agree. It could mean that these models might be discontinued according to an internal deal with Honda, but that might be after some time. Seeing negative reviews around the net or seeing lesser sales, maybe Hero decided to clarify it?!

            The news says that "it (Hero MC) is working on producing more and pushing harder the Impulse, Maestro and Ignitor". This could mean that atleast for 2 more years they might promote these products. And Hero-Honda deal was supposed to end completely, at 2014 end. Could it mean that these machines will stay atleast upto 2014?

            Of course, these are just speculations...

              Even I was wondering why Impulse is being shown so prominently in Ranbir Kapoor's ad. They may not do anything to this product it seems.

                the way Hero is promoting their products & running its ad campaigning,I was very sure that HMC won't discontinue these products as they are spending money on these advertisements..

                        There was someone, who wrote that he wasn't able to get an achiever model from Hero Showroom. Some fade memories, like the model was not there or company not producing some thing sort of.
