Was going through the specs & from what it appears on paper...
Honda Activa - 109cc, makes 8.11 PS @ 7500 RPM with 8.83Nm of Torque at 5500 RPM
while...
Yamaha Ray - 113cc, makes 7.1 PS @ 7500 RPM with 8.1NM of Torque at 5000 RPM
Not sure if PTW ratio will make significant difference between the both; there goes to drain of my another dream to switch from Activa after Vespa!!!

But why not Suzuki Access Aargee, let alone the sleepy looks. The Engine is a true stunner. I'm sure you would have considered that after Activa. Just wanted to know what made you stay away from Suzuki.Originally posted by aargee View Postthere goes to drain of my another dream to switch from Activa after Vespa!!!

P.S. I know that the spares are Bloody expensive wef to Suzuki bikes/ Scooters in India, but the performance of Access will not make you think twice about the ownership cost I guess.
@ all, Not to promote Suzuki here, I myself have a Dio & expecting Ray soon...Just the sheer pleasure of the Access engine just blew me away twice.Whenever there is a Rainbow in the sky, I know it's u mastering the art of Cornering. U will always be remembered brother, R.I.P Arun.

Access 125 is superb engineering, only draw back being, it's a slight killer; you never know you're doing 70 Kmph until you see the speedoOriginally posted by dual disc 200 View PostBut why not Suzuki Access Aargee
Not that I'm scared of that, but it's too light weight & somehow not comfortable; besides the nearest Suzuki ASC is miles apart
If ASC were nearer...yes, Access 125 is my choice after comparing it with Wego (not underestimated)
Hehe...Access 125 wasn't available in 2005Originally posted by dual disc 200 View PostJust wanted to know what made you stay away from Suzuki
It did to me too; not only the engine, but the engineering is also superb barring few things like the chrome gets rusted after a yearOriginally posted by dual disc 200 View PostJust the sheer pleasure of the Access engine just blew me away twice.

Either it's a copy/derivative of the Vespa, or it has the modern "rounded" look with a little fairing around the front wheel. Pretty much the only "different" scooter I've seen is the ItalJet Dragster, and that's not made anymore.Originally posted by krishnab4u View PostSame thought by me.ATGATT: All The Gear, All The Time!

^^^ Now that is a different... looks like hub center steering and forkless suspension. Wonder how it behaves on the road. Didnt like my previous experiences with forkless suspension.Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.

You're correct about the front end of that scooter. What experience have you had with forkless bikes? There aren't that many of them out there.Originally posted by abhimanyu31 View Post^^^ Now that is a different... looks like hub center steering and forkless suspension. Yamaha GTS1000A... the squatting action during breaking was very disconcerting. Took me about 100 kms to get use to it, even then it always felt a bit dead. Did not give the direct feedback that forks give. Guess a life time of forks spoils and creates a memory that is difficult to undo. Though I have a feeling if I have spent a few more days with it, I could well be singing a different tune.Originally posted by The Mountain View PostYou're correct about the front end of that scooter.
