i would say indeed this is becoming a global phenomenon now where manufacturer replaces faulty parts for free which have been identified as a potential hazard for the consumers. All in all it is not just Honda who has taken the initiative alone. If folks may recollect Yamaha too had called a particular batch of Yamaha R15's in India to replace the side fiber panels as some of them were potential fire hazards for the riders who by habit would try to squeeze in clothes in between the air flow vents or something. The new fiber panels have a mesh like layer if i remember correctly.
Good move Honda.. they are indeed concentrating hard on the Indian market now and working on improving their overall customer support system. I really wish their back end customer service support was as prompt as Bajaj/KTM/Kawasaki/Yamaha is. Being proactive and helping the customer to sort out niggling issues is what we all are lookng for. End of the day.. riders just want to ride and no hassles with the product they have spent their greenies on. Anyways, i am sure they will work on it too..
P.S. bring the CBR 500R/500 X soon will ya!!

It's good that they are being responsible. Other manufacturers should also follow this example. But they have not been clear on what exactly is the problem and what should be replaced. Wonder why is it like that ?
Cheers

VIN crack is already put up in the FAQ couple of months ago. Tested around 7-8 owner's in Chennai & they all seem to agree.Originally posted by princesirohi View Postcan you guys post your VIN numbers here, so that we can crack it....i mean decode it to know the date of manufacturing ...Last edited by aargee; 11-20-2012, 08:54 AM.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

bro.. keeps us posted incase you get any updates on what exactly is the problem.. thanks in advance!Originally posted by kimshine View PostI just Filled the FORM ,,
Lets see when they will call for replacement
BTW i was about to get Front disc pads replaced
And a big hearted gesture from a bike manufacturer to call back to replace faulty parts for free... but leaving something as critical as brakes for bikes from March 2011 to September 2012 sounds a little not-so-place to me!sigpic
Drive Carefully...
It is not only the bikes that can be recalled by the maker!

I got a call from someone at Honda today. He said that my bike's master brake cylinder will be replaced free of cost. He asked me where I would prefer giving my bike and then gave me the contact number of someone in charge at the service station. Booked an appointment with City Honda, Mission Road, Bangalore on Thursday at 10 AM. They said they will deliver the bike within 2-3 hours.
