detikOto - Kawasaki Siap Luncurkan Model Baru!

Kawasaki Indonesia has given out invites to the media for an event to be held on Thursday in Jakarta, Indonesia.

They are expected to announce a totally new bike. The jury is still out there as to which model will be launched. Speculation is rife for a naked version of the Ninja 250 or a fuel-injected Pulsar 200NS. If it turns out the be the new naked Ninja 250, it will be another first for Indonesia as the 2013 Ninja 250 was also first launched there!

Whatever is the bike, it is definitely exciting to see Kawasaki heating up the competition in the 200cc+ category all over the world (especially Asia).

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

      Launched!

The new Kawasaki Z250 has been launched in Indonesia! Powered by the same engine, it features radical styling similar to the Z800!

The on road price is Rp. 48.5 Million (around 2.3-2.4 lakh rupees).

Ok, assuming BAL somehow brings this to India, won't it kill KTM then?

There is market for all kinds of bikes at different price levels.

In terms of styling, I do feel that Kawasaki went slightly carried away with the Plastic extensions..

The bike will be manufactered in Thailand. No ABS model is expected anytime soon. It will be available in 3 colours at launch, viz. matte black, red and white.

I personally think the matte black looks awesome (though maintaining the paint is another hassle)!

This bike could have looked meatier with inverted forks upfront. The difference in price to the fully faired version is anyway quite less (~15,000 rupees) and they won't cannibalise each other's sales too.

I'm sure some of the competition are going back to the drawing board. The Suzuki Inazuma 250 is definitely no match for this! Although there's a rumoured 250cc/200cc naked bike from Honda to be launched in Southeast Asia anytime this year.

It is also commendable to see Kawasaki launch products without much "leaks" and "spyshots" (the usual route followed by other Jap manufacturers). Nor do they engage in giving excessive media statements for "future launches" in 2015 or 2150. Other manufacturers should take note and put the money where their mouth is.

My friend has the 2013 Ninja 250R. The wiring beneath the fairing isn't that neat or not as neat as you will expect from Kawasaki. This probably explains those longish plastic extension/fairing.

                      nice bike...

the Zee looks similar to yamaha FZ, just instead of "Lord of the Streets" ... it is "Rule the Streets"

the naked factor is less, actually only the headlight is naked. good looking bike.

I was completely sold over by the styling of Z800!! Great to see that they carried the same to 250 also!! Wish it would hit the Indian market
