British cyclists on a world tour were killed in Thailand, as they were run over by a truck.
Peter Root and Mary Thompson had been riding around the world on their cycles. They were on the road from July 2011. After having saved up for 6 years they got a chance to ride around the world, when this unfortunate incident took place. They were experienced cyclists and knew the dangers of long distance riding. The couple both aged 34 were from the Channel Islands.
The inspirational couple had cycled through Europe,the middle East, Central Asia and China. While riding in Thailand they were run over by a truck driver. The two had been blogging along as they rode across the globe, with many followers on Facebook and Twitter.
