We have still not heard anything official about the BMW - TVS JV, and a tie-up with a brand like BMW will definitely won't go hush-hush. I'm sure TVS would generate much publicity about the JV, just like the Hero-EBR tieup - so the idea of any new technology coming from the JV is out of question.

When TVS can build a potent machine like the Apache from ground-up, they surely have the know-how to tune it further for that spoonful of extra power!

Unfortunate but true, people in India have a habit of discounting anything with a made in India tag, and praising everything with a Made in La La Land tag. The worst opinions are set in stone even before actually experiencing the Indian product.

If there is a BMW-TVS partnership, surely things will improve for TVS, but that doesn't mean that they are a bunch of gorillas sitting there currently. There are intelligent people in TVS' R&D as well.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Bro, TVS engineers are one of the best mechanical engineers produced in India, the TVS engineers are selected only after 9 rounds of tests & interviews.. "Respect the TVS engineers too.." is an understatement..Hats of to the TVS's engineers & RnD..

Well the JV might be a way for BMW to enter the Indian market, just like the KTM-Bajaj tie up, producing the Duke 200 & giving Bajaj the same engine & occupy the market with the very very well established "Pulsar" brand. KTM had a few tricks, they reduced the cc from the Bajaj's flagship the P220 but still pumped up the Bhp on the P200NS.
Similarly Apache is a well established brand & this is a very nice idea to introduce a new bike with a familiar name to the market. Not that TVS cannot boost the power of the current Apache without BMW or another company,I just took a guess on this..
