most of the companies dont come out openly regarding fauly parts in india or they have this attitude of " chalta hai ".
even if companies change parts they dont tell consumers about it.. honda did make a move openly.. accpeted the fault.
thats being honest and brave. you might feel sad about you running with a low quality part but its better to have met with
and accident due to it and you not knowing of it.

the day i saw the news i did not call my regular showroom but to my surprise . next day sharp at 9 am . i get a call .. " saar we need to change a part in your bike " ( later i checked out she was pretty though )

i cudn't go that whole week. they called me again and made sure it was done. i have not seen HH , RE or Bajaj doing such stuff.. atleast not calling proactively..
    good work..

on the contrary Honda as a company is doing good stuff.. the ASS is doing worst.. by the end of the day.. its our people working at ASS.. same attitude.. chalta hai..

    god bless india

Same here. They kept calling me up few times for changing the part even after it was already changed. They call me up whenever there are such things, similar story when they changed the grab rails and nuts and bolts.

Well.. in my case nobody bothered to call. Infact, when i went voluntarily to get it changed they were disappointed that i wasn't getting teflon coating and servicing done
That being said, its still admirable that Honda as a company owned up to this.
Less said about the A.S.S , the better. I have come to terms with the clunky gear-shift and vibrations on the handle bar. This is in stark contrast to the attention given at pro-biking for my 220, even after 5.5 years. Might be an aberration though - its India. Sab chalta hai.
