Will such a motorcycle be much more suitable to a country like India rather than the bigger 1200GS?

The BMW 1200GS had always been my benchmark on how a PROPER bike should look like. I wish they launch something like this in a 150cc or 200cc form with TVS for India which retains all that glorious bulk and muscle but is economical enough for daily use.
Currently without a vehicle. Uber App and Bangalore Metro serving all my travel needs.

I was also thinking the same, hope they develop something in collaboration with TVS for the Indian Market

No !!! It'd be shame to see GS series in 150, 200 and on.. I know it'd be affordable for me as well .... But ! Its GS for God's Sake. I'll die if our duudh waala bhaiyaas start using it for carrying milk !

AFAIK the Boxer Engines ( Horizontal twin) come only in the R series. That's why the 1200GS has the 'R' as the prefix

Don't see that happening. The alliance with TVS is to manufacture smaller engines but definitely 500cc or above. And don't see the Boxer engines getting a look at all the product lineup coming out of this alliance.
