      why no focus of SZ-s and SZ-RR ??

      i've come to learn that these auto gear scoots(irrespective of the company) promise high mileage and somehow during the initial few months do give that magic figure...after a while even with proper maintenance...the mileage settles to 40kmpl on good highway roads and even less in city(where it is primarily used)

          and what is this SZ-RR..?? as far as i can remember SZ is a commuter motorcycle, so this SZ-RR is what a Race replice...??

              Bajaj doing blunders in naming is acceptable. But Yamaha?? Seriously!! SZ RR.
              Just some sticker upgrade, and such a big fanfare and wasting money? Wasnt expected from YAM. looks like they are not working on anything new right nowand have ample amount of time for these things. Should have launched it silently and let us know though the media.

                  Looks quite ok in the pics. Yamaha were late sadly. My father booked new Honda Dio few days back. So now there are two Honda Dios in my family.

                    Some update on SZ-S and SZ-RR

                    Yamaha also rolled out two motorcycles, the SZ-S and the SZ-RR which replace the erstwhile SZ-X. The S loses the tank scoop and some of the painted panels to project a simpler motorcycle. At a cheaper price - Rs 59,500 ex-Delhi - Yamaha hopes to get customers who a looking for a simpler looking commuter 150 at a reasonable price.
                    The SX-RR is the flashier cousins, with a price of Rs 62,500 ex-Delhi and this gets the scoop, more graphics and so forth. Yamaha believes splitting the SZ into two models is a good idea to widen the appeal of the models.

                      OK, so the 'S' in the SZ-S stands for Simplified

                      Now can somebody throw the proverbial limelight on the RR. I'm sure RR doesn't stand for 'Race Replica' here...so what are the improvements over the SZ-R?

                        SZ-RR...may be Race Replica.

                        The SZ-RR is defined by sporty styling in its exterior design with special features like a 3D “SZ emblem” and others which have also been introduced on the Ray Z model. The SZ-S on other hand features a simpler design in the fuel tank that creates a calmer, more composed impression.
                        In simpler words, the SZ-S would target the more conventional commuter, while the SZ-RR will attract the more aspiration buyer looking to make the most of the bike’s more sporty characteristics as compared to basic model.
